Agree with you...and let the aerial acts start...more of balancing/posing than actual dance...

same here. Too many lifts and it feels annoying now.
Atleast for this week I was thinking that as the theme is Indian there will be more dance but then also what we saw was lifts and lifts
As far as my knowledge of Indian dance goes none of the Indian dance form has lifts. Infact in Indian dances if the pair (of opposite sex) are dancing together there are very less touch involved. Mostly its syncing up the steps between the two partners.
I especially watched this week because of indian theme but was disappointed. Looks like I have to skip the whole season unless judges gave them a challenge of dancing with 0 lifts

Savio is known for lifts ! Elena haven't seen her usin too many lifts in her choreography I think she did 2-3 lifts max same goes with shampa ! Deepak concentrates more on pure dancing ! And in that case I thank jdj for not bringing a kid contestant like last year whose performance were full of lifts needless to say I loved their performance !

Lifts are difficult for the dancers too but still they are mostly doing not becoz they want to do but they bring the WOW moments that get them marks easily.

The 3 judges sitting out there dont give marks for pure dancing🥱

I'd like to disagree, some past seasons' performances HAVE had pure dances that received compliments. The main problem is that the audience does not appreciate pure dancing and always question when the judges give good marks to such performances.

IMO lifts provide the wow factor nd hence choreographers use dem to literally lft their performance.😆 But yeah der shld be a restriction as dance shld be d most important aspect of a performance.

Also IMO Savio is one choreographer who is good at lifts nd he did a marvelous job wid Hard Kaur. Also wid Bharti he had done many lifts, but I think dat is possible only if d partner is short as in d case wid Hard Kaur nd Bharti, but wid Kritika it is somehow not looking as graceful.

I agree 😆

BTW nice to meet u in this forum 😃

I agree, many times lifts are there when they are not needed but i like aerial acts if they are done beautifully.
