I saw Vivah, yes the highly overrated piece of shit which has pompously emerged as BB and is loved by many on this forum for the leads. read a review of this movie yesterday right after watching the movie and it described it so well..
The movie is like po*n for elders/parents 🤣 because it has sickeningly sweet characters which are obedient, demure and shy, virtuous, kind, unfailingly courteous and sweet-tempered. It has shown regression to the very core. The movie released in 2006, but if you were to watch it without knowing the release year then you might mistake it to be released in 1980 😆 Women are too shy to even match the eyes of men, they like their heads bowed before them, guys are such that they take 1 and half hour into the movie to hold the hands of their engaged partner 😆. Relatives and family are such that even for taking a smooch from your finace you have to create unwanted hoopla which takes another 30 minutes into the movie 😲
Amrita looked horrible in the movie with her over-sized salwars. Shahid worked the chocolate boy image well..but there was zero chemistry between the leads. I still wonder how this movie emerged as blockbuster, dialogues were such that they could put insomniacs to sleep. Songs were shit. Story wise..champak comics are better 🤣 I fell asleep while watching the movie. The shitty story was there's an arranged marriage for two people and the aunt is evil and is not fond of niece, but the heroine changes her by getting caught in fire and saving her step sis. Hero accepts her inspite of her burns. THE END FOLKS 🥱
I personally feel Barjatya is a highly over-rated director. His HAHK and other movies worked only cos of the lead pairs chemistry. If not for Salman and Mads, the movie would have been a big dud with its unnecessary songs popping without reasons throughout the movie.
