Even though the details about Amitabh Bachchan's debut fiction TV show Yudh, made under the creative guidance of Anurag Kashyap, are being kept under wraps, sources claim that the show will feature a lesbian relationship.
In the show, Amitabh Bachchan plays a business tycoon, who is into construction business. The show also has a host of other actors including Sarika and the pretty TV actress Mona Wasu. It's learnt that the serial will show a relationship between Mona Wasu and another female character.
"There will be a lesbian relationship shown between Mona Wasu's and Rishina Kandhari's characters in one of the tracks on the upcoming show. It will so happen that a bridge constructed by Bachchan's construction company will collapse, and Mona, who plays his secretary, would want to find out the truth...," a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
In order to find out the truth, she will get involved with Rishina Kandhari's character. Mona's character, also named Mona in the series, will be shown as an opportunistic woman who can use situations to her advantage.
Sources further claim that there will be subtle references to lesbianism in the show, a rarity in TV's fictional shows. Since it's a sensitive issue, there will be no explicit scenes between the two female characters, lest they put off the viewers.
Amitabh Bachchan's first fictional show Yudh is expected to go on air this July.
