Nick Jonas recently shared a heartfelt and emotional account of his daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas's birth on the Jay Shetty Podcast. The singer, who is married to Priyanka Chopra, revealed that Malti was born underweight and fragile, a moment that clearly left a profound impact on him. As he spoke about his daughter, Nick's voice filled with emotion, and he became tearful. Despite the initial challenges, Nick expressed his awe and wonder at getting to experience Malti's "magic" now.

Nick recalls the time when Malti was born

The couple's emotional journey after welcoming Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was shared by Nick Jonas as he opened up about the experience he and Priyanka Chopra went through with their daughter's birth. Nick said, "She came into the world under very intense circumstances, which I've never really talked about. We were expecting her to arrive in April, the year she was born. Then we get a call that it's going to be sooner... We got to the hospital and came out 1 pound, 11 ounces and purple basically." He further shared the remarkable efforts of the NICU nurses who worked tirelessly to resuscitate and care for Malti, helping her thrive despite a fragile start.

Nick reveals doing 12 hour shifts at the hospital

Nick Jonas shared that he and Priyanka Chopra took turns doing 12-hour shifts at the hospital, tirelessly caring for their daughter Malti until they were finally able to bring her home. "It was Covid-19 time, and so my wife and I basically did 12-hour shifts at the hospital for 3.5 months. I can still smell it; there are always visceral things. It was both comforting and frightening to be there every day and to see other families going through a similar situation. She (Malti) fought every day for 3.5 months and slowly started to gain some weight. After six blood transfusions, she was doing great. We got to take her home after 3.5 months," he added.
