Ashish-Shampa were fab today

A truly good act in my opinion has the right mix of thehraav and flow in it...to know when to pause, when to flow into the next movement and keep the audience engaged with the fact that you yourself are enjoying the dance and not just focussing on doing one step then the next.

I have very high expectations from Shampa given the bar she herself set in season 4 with Sushant and I was waiting to see when she would deliver next choreographically and today she did that I feel...firstly she's such a fab dancer herself that it's a pleasure watching her dance...the grace, the power with which she dances and her expressions on top of that are always just right without going OTT or crass.

And then coming to Ashish...now in my opinion first week didn't do justice to him and I was disappointed that Shampa chose a more robotic act for him cuz he actually has a sense of rhythm but today he proved himself...especially given how nervous he was leading into this week and feeling like he just wasn't getting the hang of this dance style, I thought he did a fabulous job...he got the style, the technique, the expressions👏 pretty much all bang on!

I loved how Shampa set the choreography on this song...a slightly slowed down version of sari ke fall sa which let the movements show more clearly rather than just racing from one movement to the next like a blur...and they both looked like they had such fun doing it also.

Both of them gelled so well together as choreographer-dancer...

They say, watch out for the silent ones...Ashish proves this adage😆...he lets his work, his dance speak for him rather than pulling nautankis to get noticed...it's a quality worth admiring...I also like the humility with which he receives the comments from the judges...very obviously listening very carefully and taking it all in.

Hmmm I guess I am the only one with different opinion🤔
I felt that he badly lacked energy and I was literally yawning😕 I don't know if it is the THHEHRAV that you've mentioned or anything else, but I didn't like it😒

I found his expressions very cute and jovial though😆

The song was deliberately slowed down, so the choreography moved accordingly...I don't think he was lacking energy at all actually...he was moving on beat and with the rhythm quite well I felt...

LOL yeah absolute polar opposite of his real personality...proving yet again what an amazing actor he is...he transforms on stage when it's time to perform...be it acting or dancing.

And he truly does love dancing...it shows when he dances😆

I was so excited when I got to know that Shampa is Ashish's choreographer. I loved her with Sushant. She is a super choreographer - high on susbtance low on gimmicks. Ashish was fabulous tonight; I liked his first performance as well. His humility is endearing; he looks so overwhelmed when the judges praise him. Currently he lacks polish and technique since he is not trained but he has natural rhythm, tremendous expressions and a lot of potential. He is an underdog who is going to surprise many. Good luck Ashish! Rooting for you!

I wouldn't say he looks overwhelmed when the judges praise him in so much as truly humble and GENUINE in his reaction to the comments...it doesn't look put on...he genuinely takes it all in with a lot of FOCUS...notice how carefully he was listening to Remo's comments today and will likely work on it in the future.

It isn't usually possible to nail technique and polish in a short 3 month span on a dance show but yes Ashish's natural sense of rhythm and the joy he takes in dancing should hopefully provide for good performances in the coming weeks.

I totally agree with what you said about Shampa...very talented choreographer indeed.
