Is it the way enquiry is conducted?

Without written arguments and accusations?

Can a suspended officer sign his own arrest warrant?

No definitely not. The enquiry was too short and not detailed at all. I expected the officers to question Shiv more and try to find out stuff from the bottom but it looked like they aren't interested or they have already made up their mind on what the final decision would be 😳

Coming to the arrest part I firstly fail to understand on what basis did they arrest Shiv? Did they get any proof?? And coming to signing the arrest warrant is also.something new I heard of 😕

Surprisingly, the inquiry was somewhat logical except the members were not seen taking notes and importantly - missing female members (BV is way too patriarchal in such cases, no female panchayat member also). As per rules, Complaint Committee must have at least 50% of female members. There are no written arguments or charges in such committees, the members generally prepare the questions to be asked (not necessarily in writing) in advance though. It is more like fact-finding committee and disciplinary action will be taken based on recommendation of the committee. The duration was also OK because the committee examines the accused, the accusers and the people present at the time of incidents/other staff as deemed necessary one by one. It is not like court case or even a disciplinary case.

I guess the enquiry is only a name sake enquiry just to show that there has been an enquiry conducted the result will either be inconclusive or against him. Most likely he won't get justice there and he will be arrested for abettment to suicide and it will go to court.
-------------

Well details I guess they'd rather show the enquiry conducted by the likes of DB.
I suppose which is their main aim.
Whether he gets cleared in the department enquiry or not he still will be subjected to all kinds of intrusive questions from all and sundry wherever he goes.Looks like they are concentrating on showing how society reacts to such allegations made against a man

I felt it was like some court martial.

In disciplinary cases, there are elaborate arrangements like appointing enquiry authority, defence(if sought) etc. And also a note served listing charges.

The strict bespectacled officer was clever compared to the pliable sympathetic one.

Why shiv allowed rasika to discuss family matters?

She started off saying how lucky Anandi was to have a husband like him.He just did not want to respond to that whether by agreeing to it or disagreeing to it.He was trying to draw a boundary there by ignoring that comment but then she switched on to her problems taking his silence on the comment about his wife as an invitation.

@Aparna, I do not expect the creatives to know the rules, but this time, they actually show a complaint committee, and I am happy with this fact. In such cases, if the committee finds the man guilty, there will be disciplinary case independent of any criminal case filed.
But the precap was bad - that means in police inquiry, they found prima-facie evidence against Shiv. Being a serial, they will show suffering of a good man till the climax when proofs (most probably by family members) come and conclude his innocence. I wished at least this time they show real investigation by police, but the precap dashed my hopes.

It was not a disciplinary case (if creatives know the difference between complaint committee on sexual harassment at workplace and disciplinary case is doubtful) but a complaint committee on sexual harassment at workplace. Based on recommendation of this committee, the authorities will decide whether a disciplinary case is required.

Hope now rasika will be completely happy seeing shiv behind bars.
I think even DB will be happy as she could not make shiv go against anandi and amol.

Now anandi will be in action as shiv will be in judicial custody.

http://www.hhsonline.org/sexual-harassment-at-work-place/do-and-donts-for-committees.html

According to it, a woman has to head this committee.

Why cant shiv file a counter sexual harassment case against rasika? They may say it is an afterthought but shiv may put forth proper arguments like how rasika started it all.
