CHAPTER 19

At the head quarters...

"But Verma... mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hai... saare equipments to yehi hai!" Kapoor asked searching the entire place like a fanatic

"Kappy... the blueprints were in a software... aur kisine usse yaha nahi churayi hai... they don't even know this place exists... it was in ETF... they stole it from there.." Verma said horrified while checking through various files on the computers...

"Verma... block the transition... it would take minimum 13 hours to transfer... you can still break the coding!" Kapoor said with hope

"Dude you are hell right!" Verma said and stared into the screen...

This was the most difficult job for Verma till date...

"Damn... why did I make this so effective! It should have been useless.. decoding easier ho jaata... why is this flawless... shoot it's tough!" Verma mumbled while typing furiously...

Then the green pop up came "Transfer stopped... every memory erased... nothing available.."

Verma hissed a sigh of relief and fell flat on the floor...

"Verma!" Kapoor stood alarmed!

"Zinda hoon... uthana bhi matt... oh holy... this was the most toughest thing in my life.. mujhe iss cheez ko itni achi tarha se develop nahi karna chahiye tha... I made it hack proof as well... uff.. why am I a genius! I never knew my projects are so good.. you know one coding and that triggers the operation of the device... pehli baar mujhe unn criminals ke liye bura lag raha hai who try to hack my device..." Verma wailed.. face on floor..

Looking at Verma's conditon Kapoor went near the coffee cup "Yaar... kahin coffee ke jagah daaru toh nahi... ya drugs?" Kapoor quizzically looked

"Kaps - am not drunk.." Verma rolled over... smiling and annoyed at the same time

"Oh no!" Verma screamed and jumped back on feet.

"Poora maarne ka iraada hai kya?" Kapoor glared at Verma... cuz Verma's scream thundered in the ear drums...

"They can get it back from the copied source.. yaani ETF... shoot mujhe transfer karna padega!!!!" Verma became hysteric moving here and there..

"Chill... I had transferred the files elsewhere..." Kapoor said cooly... sipping the coffee...(not Verma's, Kappy was sure that something was mixed in that coffee)

"Kaha! Where.. if they get it from there!" Verma said jumping on the table

"Tujhe monkey dance ka shauk kabse hua? Waise bhi now it's permanently safe... cause I destroyed that place!" Kapoor grinned..

"Arrey I will do donkey dance! Just tell me where... kis janam ka badla! Iss baar I didn't even spare a glance to your crush!" Verma ran around the floor... resulting falling flat again and still moving...

"Hmm not bad... naagin dance, dance like this in my shaadi as well!" Kapoor laughed...

"Kapoor!" Verma thundered

"Shekhawat's house." Kapoor said in one shot...

Verma stared at Kapoor as if there were horns on the head! Then started laughing and crying at the same moment!

"Nahi Kappy, daaru nahi... seedha drugs tha uss coffee main!" Kapoor looked at Verma's antics!

"BP high ka ghar! Udhar you kept! And you blasted it!" Verma laughed with tears forming... "Now neither paisa nor software... Sikki ki lag gayi! Yaar now pakka for ur shaadi I'll do any dance! I love you yaar!" saying so Verma lunged at Kapoor and engulfed in a big bear hug..

"Yaara... yeh dialogue kabhi usse kaho jisse kehna hai!" Kapoor parted and winked at Verma!

"Abbey... tune kaha bhi nahi that you are going to blast it!" Verma slapped Kapoor "Mere teen hone waale chote chote bachchon ka kya hota!" Verma added dramatically

"Teen! Production line! Besharam! Arrey uska kuch khayal karo" Kapoor laughed

"Arrey uske liye bhi toh achcha hai na!" Verma said while wiping the tears of laughter

"Waise yaar... thanks... you showed that brains are not everything... presence of mind bhi required! Which I wish I had then..." Verma looked at Kapoor emotionally

"Tab kya ho sakta tha... kal kya ho sakta hai - humare haath main nahi hai... par aaj jo hone waala hai... woh humare haath main hai..." Kapoor reassured

"Isliye toh I am always with you! Chal... let's eat something!" Kapoor added with a smile

Verma too walked in front and then stopped seeing Kapor's arm around

"Isliye yaar you are not getting married! Kiske saath dinner pe jaana chahiye.. aue kiske saath you are actually going" Verma ran away laughing!

While Kapoor nodded the head and joined Verma

One hour before, present five months after Sameer and Shree left for Delhi, at Mumbai

Arjun was looking at Roshni's picture, thinking what he was about to do today...

"Roshu... mujhe yeh kya ho raha hai... main uss ke liye kuch feel nahi karta ya... nahi ussne mujhe kuch nahi kaha par aaj jab I slipped into unconsciousness thanks to being in that coffin... and the way she hugged me after I recovered... it was too much, it told me everything ... par woh mujhse achanak door kyun ho rahi hai?... baat bhi nahi?... nahi main usse pyaar nahi karta...office main maine kya kiya... nahi kuch nahi.. hai na?"

He felt as if Roshni was looking back at him with a quizzical look

"Yeh tum keh rahe ho ya pooch rahe ho? Arjun..aaj tum mujhse yeh kyun pooch rahe ho?" Roshni seemed to ask him

"Aise hi... main tumhe dhokna nahi doonga Roshu... tum shant raho.." Arjun said aimlessly trying to calm his heart.

"Shant mujhe ya apne aap ko kar rahe ho Arjun? Main toh shant hoon..tum bechain ho... aur yeh dhoka? Yeh kaha se aaya.. kya Sakshi.." Roshni asked back

"Nahi Roshu main Sakshi se mohabbat nahi karta..." he looked at her adamantly

"Maine mohabbat ka naam hi nahi liya ACP sahab... apne aap ko saza kyun de rahe ho tum Arjun?" Roshni asked him back, smiling.

Arjun stayed mum... looking at Roshni's photos with tears

"Arjun... apne aankhein band karo.. aur main jo shabd kahoongi toh batao kiska chehra dikhta hai.." Roshni said

"Yeh..." Arjun seemed to protest

"Karo!" Roshni looked at him angrily...

Arjun closed his eyes...

"Bachpana"

"Chotu" Arjun laughed

"Bharosa"

"Sam" Arjun said with a small sigh

"Dabbangg"

"Bhabi - yaani Ayesha!" Arjun smirked

"Dil"

"Roshni" Arjun smiled with a tear slowly falling from his eye

"Dhadkan"

Arjun's eyes flew open... he again closed them

To find her again

He opened his eyes and looked around... no.. "no...no..NO!!!" his mind chimed...

"Yeh kya bachpana hai Roshni!"

"Main uss ke liye kuch bhi ehsaas nahi karta... samjhi tum... kuch bhi nahi!" Arjun shouted

"Toh Arjun... jab uspe ek bomb tha, tumhari jaan kyun udd gayi?" Roshni said adamantly

"Roshni... it would have been same for everyone... chotu, shree ya aisha"

"Agar Aisha hoti toh Sam bhi tumhare tarha CM saab ke beti ko kidnaap karta right..?"

"Obvious, because he loves her!"

"And you?"

"I...I...I only love you Roshni, ab aur baatein nahi..." saying so Arjun kept the photo upside down on the table... he was debating with himself...once again he lost his night's sleep... but all due to Sakshi... why was he getting affected by her ignorance...

(Actually it was just a war waged in his mind for the past few months...)

Aimlessly he ended up calling Sakshi...

"Haa Arjun bolo?" her voice spoke up through his phone

Shocked to hear her voice he mumbled "Haa..woh..woh.. woh joh trucks pade hue hai, unme shaayad kuch aur cheezein ho...aur woh garage ka owner...Karan...poori details chahiye mujhe"

"Arjun, kya tume theek ho...kal office aa rahe ho?" Sakshi asked, concerned.

"Haan Sakshi, kyun kya hua?" Arjun asked irritated by her formal tone

"Nahi, koi baat nahi... tumhe kuch der main saare details mil jaayenge...aur haan, aur raat mat jaago, waise bhi subah subah ut the ho...kuch ghante ke liye sone ki koshish karo...good night." Sakshi said and kept the phone

Then Arjun glanced at the clock beside him... It was 2.30 at night... Shoot! Itni late ko call kiya maine, still how can she be so calm? Today he treated her so badly, practically shouted at them yet she spoke to him softly...she was always like this...an angel... but why is she speaking so formally... but he knew she felt something for him...he was about to rant further when one of his informers called about a drug consignment being shipped at a particular destination within two hours,

He immediately called up Sakshi

"Arjun mujhe abhi ek khabar mili hai ke ek drug..."

"Yes Sakshi, tum tayyar raho, please baaki sabko inform kar dena... Liza ki aane ke zaroorat nahi hai, I'll pick you up, let the rest reach there..." Arjun ordered.

"Theek hai" saying so she cut the call and got ready...

Arjun looked back at his phone and suddenly got a flash of Sakshi's death... "No...yeh main kya soch raha hoon... tumhe kuch nahi hoga... what's wrong with me, tum theek rahogi...!" he thought "mere liye..." his heart whispered which ignored and walked out...

At her house

While Sakshi walked out she looked at a message on her phone and sighed

"Arjun.. main tumhare paas isliye nahi aana chahti kyunki tum mujhe kabhi bhi kho sakte ho... aur tum yeh bardaash nahi kar paoge... aur main tumhare tootne ke wajah nahi ban sakti..."

At an unknown unknown area

Kapoor nodded the head and thought

"Bohot suna ke koi pyaar ke liye kisiko paane ke liye kya kya kar sakta hai... par kya koi itna pyaar kar sakta hai ke woh uss pyaar ko hi chod de... yeh kya kar rahi ho Sakshi...though mujhe pata hai ke tum mujhe uss baat ke liye kabhi maaf nahi karogi...par Arjun se itni mohabbat matt karo..."

Sighing Kapoor walked towards an aimless direction...
