The trailer for the film seems promising and the songs are great but something from deep down inside is telling me that this movie is going to be panned by critics and flop at the BO. Maybe because it's such an unusual film or maybe because I don't think it'll live up to such high expectations. Hopefully I'm wrong but we'll see what happens.

Mohit Suri movies are always panned by critics but they work at BO

Yno I've learnt not to trust critics with movie reviews anymore, because the film that I think has been one of the best films ever to come out of Bollywood was Awarapan and it was panned like hell. I mean can you imagine a film as well made as Awarapan was hated on? 😕

Watching Suri's films over the years has made me realise that either his films are amazing or they suck.😆
Amazing: Zeher, Awarapan, Murder 2 and Woh Lamhe.
Suck: Raaz 2, Aashiqui 2 and Crook.

So Ek Villain will either be awesome or it will suck like hell.

i actually think its gonna do really well at the BO cuz its different from the run of the mill flicks but i have a really strong feeling that the poor girl is gonna die

If critics give their judgement by comparing it to the original version than as far as critical acclaim is concerned it'll fail miserably.

Commercial success? I am not sure, let's see.

It's not a film for everyone. The audience will be limited. Mohit's films are like that. They are different than your normal commercial films- thriller/gangster type stories have much more limited audience.

While EV may neither get much critical acclaim nor commercial success, any earnings between 40-60 crore for the movie will be excellent. So even it isn't a 100 crore movie, it will be a Hit considering it seems to have a medium budget.

This movie seems to be sure shot Hit and may be superhit as well... Music+trailer is really good..plus new fresh lead jodi and Ritesh looks really convincing as the Villain.
