So basically the story is Nikhil came to Sonbarsa (the village ) met Laajo, Laajo was supposed to get married to someone else but due to dowry issues she refused then due to some misunderstanding Laajo and Nikhil get married, but Nikhil already loves someone else (Ishaana), they come to the city and become friends Barkha( Nikhil's mom) doesn't like Laajo so she with her mother try to create differences amongst these two with the help of Ishaana but most of the times Nikhil trusts Laajo.. Nikhil and his mother also have differences as she considers him responsible for her elder's son death.. Soon there are some problems and Laajo leaves the house but Nikhil misses her a lot and then we get the very emotional track where in Sonbarsa there is an epidemic and Laajo also falls sick Nikhil comes and brings medicines and he leaves.. Soon he realises that he loves Laajo and refuses to get engaged to Ishaana he goes to the village and true so convince Laajo to come back she finally agrees

But Barkha doesn't allow all this and Laajo decides that she will come back to the city only after she has become someone so that no one can be ashamed of her.. She starts living in the city but Nikhil doesn't know about it and there she starts for Sagar who is now helping her to become a star and is training her.
