I ain't old: Karan Johar

Yesterday, on May 25, Karan Johar turned 35 and boy, did he celebrate in style!

The filmmaker threw a huge bash at Taj Lands End in Bandra, with a guest list that included over 100 invitees.

Said Karan, "I am not at all happy about turning 35, so I threw a party to celebrate my depression.

I think I'm growing old too quickly! Yesterday, I even coloured my grey hair black!" Dilshad, his personal hairstylist, did the honours.

No time to party

The reason he hosted such a big bash this year is because he hasn't had the time to do so over the last few years. "I was travelling a lot because of shooting and everything, so I couldn't have any parties.

I thought it was about time I invited all the people whose parties I've been attending all this time!"

No theme

Said a source who was present at the party, "It's was a 'come as you are' party. There was no theme and no dress code."

Adds the birthday boy, "People who say the 40s are rocking are lying! Last week, when my doctor told me that from now I had to start doing regular check-ups and blood tests, I knew I wasn't young any more!"

Give me gifts

Did he expect presents? "Oh yes!" Karan exclaims. "I love presents. There is nothing more exciting than unwrapping presents!

In fact, there was a big joke going around that I asked everyone to get me a present and also the receipt, so that if I don't like it I can return it!"

Good friend, Riteish Deshmukh also made it to the party and stayed awhile despite his father's birthday bash the same day.
