Marriage :

1. The bride must be fair and beautiful

2. She must be good in ghar ka kaam

3. Marriage is important for a man because he gets someone to cook for him

4. The duty of a wife is to serve her husband even if he demands food at midnight

5. Marriage makes a man free to concentrate on his business because menial jobs like ironing are taken care of by the wife

6. A woman who quarrels with her husband is undesirable as a wife

7. A man who gets a wife who does not talk much is a lucky man indeed

This is the gyan that kabir was given about marriage by Desais

Completely regressive

I felt I was watching a cartoon show, or an Akbar bibal story

Simplistic solutions to a traumatized kabir who has to get time to figure out relationship issues

Is this the same story where a Saras who did not want to get married,

handled his relationship with the complexity and finesse and sensitivity such a relationship deserved !

So, today it became clear that Danny and kusum are the main lead

And the track is kabir ki shadi

In most stories, along with the main lead there is parallel lead

Which acts as a foil to the main lead, similarly here

While the main leads Danny and kusum demonstrate a perfect marriage

Saras and Kumud continue to show what marriage should not be

Waise Saras's optimism is remarkable

And his love for her is awesome and enough for both of them

Three days, she has been mean and snooty and

doing things like throwing him out of his own room

Btw, why is she angry with him going to Mumbai?

Why are they staying in haveli, and why haven't they moved to the pink house yet?

Basically what Kumud wants is Saras should live in her parents house

Manage her fathers factory

Have no ambitions to expand it, to grow

And the sad part is, Saras seems to think he is guilty!

Giving us two extremes, wife's everything tht Desi's n Vyas's tried telling Kabir, n then wife is wt our kumud maharani is(as discussed many times)... 😕

So which version stands for, star plus tag line " Rishta wohi soch nayee"

Mujhe Kumud ke character pe dayaa aa rahi hai... Sachme! 😆 CVs usse kahaa se kahaa le aaye hai... Waah! 👏

Par naa... Mujhe pataa nahi kyu aisaa lag rahaa hai ke kuchh hai jo Kumud ko jaane se rok rahaa hai... 🤔 kyaa pataa... Hume reason pataa chal jaaye kuchh episodes me... 🤔
Yaa phir... CVs hume bataa rahe hai ke hum kitne stupid hai jo keh rahe the ke Sunanda aur London track kharaab thaa... Wo keh rahe hai ke dekho... Iss track ko sabse kharaab track kehte hai... 🤔

this day last year we saw my the most favorite kumud scene near the lotus pond- 'jaha pyaar hota hai waha jalan nahi hoti' 😊

Regressive talk about brides from Desais.

Unnecessary zidd about not leaving RN on part of Kumud.

Pagalpan and spinelessness on part of Saras.

Arshi,

We should just wait for Mumbai track.

I have started disliking Saras now. Is he real? Or deluded?

I agree with your point that the Desais have become a little regressive in their search for a bride, but the others I might not totally share your other views.

Danny and Kusum aren't a perfect marriage, but they have learned to support each other through tough situations like the previous rape case. Kusum just unintentionally hurt his feelings the other day and she made up for it. But she knows how to be funny too. Saras is so serious half the time, they needed a lead that wasn't always.

And why shouldn't Kumud have an objection to going far for Saras' business? It's not that she wants him to manage the factory, but the three of them just had their lives almost end because of their enemy, maybe the girl wants to spend some time with her family. After more than a few days of being held captive in some horror house and expected to dance for free. And the only reason she went there was to get the secret that Danny's mother was keeping from everyone. I think she's a little entitled to some relaxation in the haveli after all of the traveling she did, and he suddenly expects her to pack up and move to a foreign city so soon after what just happened. If her family is regressive, so is he in this matter.

Dugba is the least regressive character in the family, and she hasn't been seen. So maybe when she reappears the dialogue will change.

Wonderful post!

I was almost getting verbal abuse from viewers just for saying that what a nonsense track they are showing.

Even some complained and closed my Post 😆

Kabir needs time to deal with his own soul and trust issue, nah the whole family have nothing else to do other than parading together and forcing him to get married.

And Kumud's character is becoming unjustified.

Whole show is becoming a comedy!

SC started so nicely and now reached to 🤢

👏 ... I'm glad to read a different perspective of the happenings.

Kumud keeps saying that she doesn't want to leave Ratnanagari, but she never said she will not leave the Haveli. May be after all these trials and tribulations she just wants to spend time with all the family. Its not trying to make the Vyas boys Ghar Jamais. Her decisions though seem pig headed at that moment they almost always end up in something good(like when she refused to leave the house with Saras after the brothers fight, the way she tried to being out Guman's truth inspite of Saras not cooperating...etc etc).

Saras is also not wrong in asking her to come along with him to Mumbai, opportunities don't don't come along everyday, when they do knock your door you need to make the best use of it.

I don't think it's right to make a villain out of Kumud...and we all know she will not leave Saras alone, they are inseparable, she will ultimately follow him inspite of her nakhras.

I too think there is something more than that meets the eye, why is Kumud sooo reluctant to go to Mumbai. May be the CVs will have a logical explanation at the end of it.

Thank you! I agree with the bolded especially. It's not that Saras is wrong to ask her to go with him as his wife, it's just the timing of it sucks. It missed his sharp mind that she may want to be surrounded with the family she almost lost. Also, Kumud is being expected to just give up her teaching just to go follow him and cook and clean so that might not be her ideal wish either.

I agree, it's not fair to vilify Kumud after every physical and emotional thing she has been through lately. Saras could not have found his brother without her support and encouragement, so he needs to give her some credit. She will ultimately follow him true, I think she needed more time just like Kabir needs time to get over his own wounds. I mean, they were so ready to make Kumud into a mother overnight, you don't think they will try to make Kabir into a husband and father the same way? Although he has had a completely different childhood. They are thinking that Kabir will like someone quiet because he is silent, not that he would like someone a little different from him. It's not that all good wives are "quiet", since when were Kumud and Kusum quiet in and about their married lives? LOL.

And the objection is for the reason a wife is needed Gul, to cook and clean and iron. To that sense Kumud is right, isn't she? Somebody can be employed to help with those. It has to be for the companionship and relationship no?
