3 years later, London

She sat in her cabin watching the entire staff running around the office. It reminded her of the time she visited his office twice, the same cacophony, the same bewildered faces; the typical Khurana Constructions atmosphere. There was no change in the atmosphere in these past 2 years apart from the fact that it happened to be a different place. No matter how much she tried to rein in some changes to the atmosphere of the place, nothing had changed and still it looked exactly like his office. Everything about the office reminded her of him still hurting her deep within but she tried her best to never show it. It had been almost 2 years since she had joined Khurana Constructions and there hadn't been a day it ceased to remind her of him and the bitter truth of her life. Did it affect her love for him.? No, she was still in love with the only man she trusted and loved from the bottom of her heart. Every time it reminded her of his betrayal. No matter how much she tired she couldn't forget his cold, emotionless eyes on the day she left him behind. How could she ever forget those haunting eyes, the same eyes where she wanted to see herself but every time she saw in them, she could only see the cruel game fate had played with her. A knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts and she quickly wiped away the small tears that were already forming.

Come in. She called out in a meek voice.

Yes Trisha.? She asked as she saw Trisha standing hesitantly at the door.

Ma'am I needed your signatures on this file and... She hesitated.

And.? And what.? Geet said looking through the pages of the file. She noticed Trisha's hesitance and guessed what she might be worried about.

What is it Trisha.? Was it Andrew again.? Geet asked waiting for an answer from her.

Yes Ma'am, he called again and asked for you saying he wants to meet you. I informed him that you are busy but it looked like he was very angry. Ma'am, I think we should take some action against him. Trisha confirmed Geet's worries. She looked up at Trisha and just nodded.

I'll take care of it. Don't worry. Here, there are just a few changes that are needed, finish them off and then only work ahead on this. What's happening in the office today, why is everyone in such a hurry and so worried.? Geet asked just as Trisha was about to exit the room.

Ma'am, Maan sir is coming to the office today, and he has ordered us to keep all the files regarding this project ready. Everyone is preparing for the same Ma'am. The board wants sir to be here for this project, so he is coming here today. Trisha said in a confused tone. Geet's senses froze as soon as she heard the words; his name itself was enough to set her heart beating. Geet leaned back into her chair in shock as the words sunk in; she would be facing him after 3 years. Trisha looked at her in concern and walked back to stand beside her.

Ma'am, is everything okay..? Trisha asked shaking Geet out of her thoughts after waiting for while for an answer from her and receiving none. Geet looked up to find Trisha staring at her in confusion, so she quickly recovered and nodded at her.

When was I going to be informed about this Trisha.? Geet asked in a stern voice. Trisha backed away from her and looked down nervously.

Ma'am since you are always in touch with Adi Sir, I assumed he would have already informed you about Maan Sir's visit to London.. Trisha started to speak but was silenced by Geet.

Your work is not to assume things on your own Trisha, do what you are hired for. Now, take the file and get to work. Geet snapped at her. Trisha hurriedly took the file and left the cabin leaving a worried Geet behind.

Geet sank into her chair thinking about Trisha's words. The thought of him coming to London and her facing him got her heart beating rapidly. It had been 3 years she even heard his voice or even looked at him, the only news she got of him would be through the office. Even Daadimaa had stopped talking about him, though Geet could always sense the worry in her voice but she knew Daadi would never question her decision of moving away. It had been the most difficult decision of her life to even think about living without him, but his confession had broken her beyond repair. One thing her heart always knew and hoped was, Maan being innocent but she could never muster up the courage to face him or even ask him about the incident. The truth that her father wasn't around her because of the man she loved the most and the fact that he hid it from her all along had broken her trust in him. There was no question of any explanations or justifications. Even after all that happened, she could never bring her heart to hate Maan, the love still existed at the bottom of her heart but the trust which had bound them together was gone. Just as she was about to close her eyes, a loud noise caught her attention. A minute later, her cabin door flew open and Andrew barged in followed by Trisha and a 2 guards.

I am here to talk, ask them to keep their f***ing hands off me.! Andrew warned looking in her direction. Geet glared at him angrily and found Trisha signalling the guards to handle him.

Its okay Trisha, I'll handle it. Geet said signalling her to leave the room. Andrew smirked at her came forward grabbing a chair.

I don't think I asked you to sit Mr. Rathode. If you remember, this still happens to be my office and you have entered my office without my permission. This is the first and last time I will be tolerating such nonsense in my office. Next time this happens, I won't think even once before getting you thrown out of here. Is that clear.? Geet warned him.

I am extremely sorry to offend you Miss.Geet. I very well wanted to meet you with an appointment but it looks like you have instructed your staff to not transfer my calls to you neither give me an appointment to meet you. I had no option left besides just dropping by. You as well know why I came here all the way.. Andrew spoke sweetly making Geet angrier with his sweet honey coated talks.

In that case, you know my answer as well. The deal is called off, and there is no looking back to it. Geet answered ignoring him and looking back into her file. His presence always managed to worsen her day. It had been a month he was after her regarding a deal which had been cancelled. Andrew drew in a sharp breath and leaned forward towards her and spoke in a rather dangerous voice.

I need that land Geet, at any cost. You should know it by now. Andrew spoke in a low dangerous tone. Geet looked up at him angrily and found him staring at her with a weird dangerous expression.

Mr. Rathode, I'm really sorry but you will have to forget about that land, but it's really not in my hands to help you. The deal has been called off from our side, that's how it was and it will be. If there is anything else I can help you with, I'll be glad to and if not, well you know where the door is. Geet replied in a cool but bitter tone. She could feel him getting angry as she saw his palm clench into a fist hearing her answer.

Now if you will excuse me, I have some important work to do. Geet said and walked out of the cabin leaving a fuming Andrew in her cabin. As she stepped out of the cabin, she saw the same cacophony in the office reminding her of his arrival the next day. Geet quickly walked out of the cabin and stepped into her car. As it got moving, her heart beat in anticipation; she would see him after 3 years. As much as she tried to convince herself that he wasn't a part of her life anymore, her heart would always betray her and she would only think about him. Geet felt the tears sliding down her eyes; she was hardly good at controlling her tears ever. Her heart still belonged to him.!

Geet dialed the number and waited for Daadimaa to answer the phone. Her eyes caught the box that sat in the corner of her dressing table, she opened the box and touched her mangalsutra that lay hidden in the box until she would open it only to be reminded of the one thread that would always bind her to him. It would always remind her of the moment he tied it around her neck, the moment that would always remind her of sweet and bitter memories. Daadimaa's voice brought her out of her thoughts.

Hello.? Daadimaa said in a weak voice. Geet immediately wiped her tears and smiled knowing Daadimaa would easily be able to figure out her condition.

Daadimaa, how are you.? Geet asked in a low tone. She could sense Daadimaa's smile through the phone.

Geet bte. I am fine, how are you doing.? Daadimaa quipped excitingly into the phone. Geet knew she was trying to hide her tears behind her happiness, but she would never let her know.

I am fine Daadimaa. I just.. I.. Wanted to ask you if.. M.. Maan.. Geet hesitantly asked but as soon as she said his name, she felt her heart flutter in response. It had been ages she had taken his name, or even heard it for that matter. Daadimaa closed her eyes in pain sensing her question.

I know you want to ask if Maan is coming to London. Though Maan hasn't said anything to me about this till now, but Adi did tell me. He told me there is some problem and the board of directors want him to be there so he has to go. I can understand why you are asking me this, I know it will be difficult for you Geet, will you be okay.? Daadimaa asked in a concerned voice. Though her heart grieved for her Maan and his incomplete life, but she could sense Geet's pain as well. She knew it wasn't easy for either of her children.

Daadimaa, I... Geet said her voice breaking with the tears that were forming in her voice.

No bte, you don't need to say anything. I know you have moved on and you hate.. Daadimaa said but only to be stopped by Geet.

Please Daadimaa, hate is a very strong word. I can never hate him or anything related to him. I have moved away from him but.. I can't Daadimaa, I still.. I still love.. Geet said when a sob escaped her lips. Tears clouded Daadimaa's eyes as well.

Daadi, I will talk to you later. Please don't worry about me, I will be okay. You please take care of yourself. Bye.! Geet said and hanged up finally letting her pain out. Her hands yanked open the drawer of her cupboard and moved towards his photo which always stayed with her. Geet knew her heart had never learned to stop loving him, but her mind never allowed her to talk to him. She could never muster up the courage to ask him what had happened, she feared if she would hate him after hearing the truth. The only question that lingered in her mind was what would his arrival do to her.? Would she be able to stay away from him.? She knew the answer but was only worried of the consequences it would bring forth, after all the love hadn't gone anywhere; it very much existed.

very emotional part yaar..geet left maan and came to london..whatever maan feared have came true😭😭😭😭..after 3 years they are going to meet..how is maan now..poor dadi stuck between his 2 favorite g/childrens.. i dnt think dadi would have forgiven maan if he is very wrong..hope maaneet suffering end soon..cant wait for next part..
