Even with the changing trends and men getting more manly, Karan Johar seems determined to hang on to his metrosexuality. The director was seen walking down Pali Hill, Bandra, in shimmering hot pink shorts and a pink tee shirt; listening to his iPod. The once overweight Karan was balancing his calorie intake and output- as he walked briskly we noticed him busy eating as well.
We asked some celebrities whether they would follow Karan's trend of wearing pink.
Hey its summer and even I was thinking of making some shirts in pink and turquoise blue. I don't think there is anything wrong with guys wearing pink especially if they can carry it off. The colour is quite pleasing so I might make a few cotton shirts in it. I'm not very fashion conscious and though pink is not one of my favourite colours I wouldn't mind wearing it.

I actually like the guys who wear pink! I just love it because it makes them look masculine in a very feminine way. Some guys think it's very, very girly but it takes a guy who knows style and is full of confidence to be able to pull it off. My ex-boyfriend used to wear pink and I would strongly encourage him. We'd often be matching by wearing pink clothes at the same time!

50 years ago someone decided that pink is girly because girls like soft colours and teddy bears and chocolate. A guy likes chocolates too sometimes so I don't think pink is off limits for them. It's all about whether it looks good on you and if you feel comfortable in it. I think if some man or boy wants to wear pink, he tries it on and it looks good then there is no reason why he shouldn't!
Men are about passion so they usually choose strong classic colours like black, grey and navy blue. But that has all changed and this is what trends are all about. In the 70s white and pinks came into fashion. Then in the 80s and 90s people forgot about it and now it's back. It's all part of the trend cycle.

I think pink is an over hyped colour. People shouldn't make such a big deal about it because it's only a colour and a pleasant one that too! It can be worn by anyone- girls, boys, men, women, oldies and babies. It's all about personality. Some guys can't carry off jeans and some can't carry off shirts. If you can't carry off pink it's got nothing to do with the colour but who you are personally. Just let pink be!

For sure guys can carry off pink; it depends on whether the guy is secure enough to wear the colour. I have many guy friends who wear pink- gay and straight friends. They don't wear the bright, hot pink but lighter shades.
I myself don't like the colour and I'm a girl so I guess it depends on an individual's taste. I wear a lot of blacks, grays and whites but I would not be classified boyish so is pink classified as a girly colour?
