Neutral Drabble: Bottomless

I don't know what I've written, I just felt like it. Inspired by the sig below, made by Amidst The Hues/FB.

Drabble: Bottomless

He felt like he was drowning in the depths of the sea, in the sea of his tears. He wanted to stop it but he couldn't. They had developed a mind of their own. It seemed like they wanted to wash away every trace of her in his body. But that was what his mind wanted.

His heart was a completely different story. It kept reminding him of her again and again. It ached for her smile the most. Her guilty expression tugged at his heart again and again.

Neither his mind, nor his heart was willing to listen. Neither was willing to leave him alone. His mind wanted him to forget and his heart wanted him to remember her, leaving him confused.

He couldn't forget her that easily; she was after all, his true love and his soul mate. But he didn't want to remember her. The memory of her rejection hurt him too much.

So he cried, and remembered, and then cried again. He cried till there were no more tears left, he remembered her until he had exhausted all the memories.

And then he was left bottomless.
