Episode 190 - 192

Gham ki Raat

Khushiyon ki shaam bani gham ki raat
Pal mein ud gaye hosh, bikhar gaye jazbaat
Na khabar thi kisiko, na huyi koi baat
Ek shaadi se bangaye sangeen halaat

Apnon ke dilon mein ek aag bhadki
Jigar ke tukdon ne kardi gustaakhi
Har ek ne poocha vajah iss baat ki
Na mila jawaab, reh gaye sawaal baaki

Jiske liye ye kadam uthaya
Uss behan se nazar mila na paya
Wo sada khush rahe, isiliye dard apna chupaya
Uske palbhar ke dukh ka khud ko kaaran banaya

Na vajah pata thi, na pata natije ki
Bas ek hi mansha, ke ho jiji ki shaadi
Apni achhayion ka saza aisi mili
Har rishta choot gaya, na rahi wo kisiki

Lambi si raat ab dhalne lagi
Badhti huyi aandhi ab thamne lagi
Ek jhatke mein hi palat chuki hai baazi
Kisiki premika nahin, ab wo hai uski patni

Translation:

The evening of delight became a gloomy night
Stunned in a moment, scattered are the emotions
No one knew nor anyone had been told
A marriage created tense situations

A fire arose in the hearts of dear ones
Their cherished young ones had committed a blunder
Everyone asked for the reason
Got no answer, the questions remained

The one for whom this step was taken
Couldn't meet eyes with that sister
For her to be happy ever, he hid his pain
He became the reason for her momentary sadness

The reason was not known nor the result
Only one wish that  jiji gets married
A punishment she got for her good deeds
Every relation slipped away, she remained no one's

The long night has started to set
The incoming storm is now halting
In one stroke, the tables have turned
Not somebody's lover, now she's his wife

Nice Durga👏

I can't even rhyme words and you write so beautiful poems..I loved the underlined a lot

Ek jhatke mein hi palat chuki hai baazi
Kisiki premika nahin, ab wo hai uski patni

last two lines... gave me goosebumps. a whole turning of the universe in them. premika and patni... the two planets she within her, lover and husband the two worlds within him... right now at loggerheads with each other.

beautiful poem.

i wonder reading these lines, durga... do you think the role we play, of wife, husband, etc... these are really guided and nurtured by our dimag, while being premika, lover... that comes straight from the dil and the dil is its only guide?

uff, early morning and your poem sets up so much thinking... love that bit absolutely.

khsuhi's sadness, her helplessness... heart wrenching. i wish i could look into her mind and see where premika quickly gathered her feelings and kept them away so that some day she could return. and also, wasn't there even for an instant in the hearts of these two the lovers prese
nt as sindoor and magalsutra took them to the role of patni and pati.

Aww, thanks Kate. You like the edits? Thanks, I am still in the elementary level, though. There is so much I feel I could do with those caps.

Thank you so much Divya. Yes, those lines were the most painful ones.

Thanks Indi. And thanks for those thoughts I've been having myself since morning after reading your comment.

Premika and patni, is there really a difference? Except that one has a legal stamp along with assignment of certain duties. Apart from that, the way a woman looks at her man doesn't change much. When it is between him and her, dil will always come into play, be it love, anger, jealousy, passion, possessiveness, etc. Each and every emotion is guided by the dil. Of course, in the setup of a family, dimaag too is brought in. But left to just these two, it is dil all the way.

The lovers in Arnav and Khushi never left. They are right behind that veil of hate and misery, trying to seek an explanation to the pathos that they are made to face. I am pondering on the I hate you scene, trying to find words for the emotions that they are going through at that moment. A strong tug of war on between the heart and mind, which is making A and K more and more miserable.

Episode 196

Nafrat

Arnav:

Mere dil ko jagaakar mujhko daga diya
Ek dhokebaaz se milkar, sabko dhoka diya
Maasoomiyat ka parda chehre se hat gaya
Nafrat hai mujhe tumse, tumpe kyun aitbaar kiya?

Ye zaroorat thi ke rok loon sailaab zindagi ka
Jaanta na tha ke iska aisa asar hoga
Chaahkar bhi rok na paaoon tumhari aankhon ka toofan
Nafrat hai ke tumhare kaaran, main phir bana shaitan

Khushi:

Aasmaan pe bithakar humko gira diya
Sapne haseen dikhakar kohre mein dhakeldiya
Sab chodkar chaldiye, reh gaye hum akele
Nafrat hai humey ke aapne chot diye itne gehre

Hazaaron sawaal they, jawaab na de paaye
Na Di se, na Jiji se, dil ka haal suna paaye
Kyun maan aapka rakha, kyun na kisise keh paaye?
Nafrat hai humey aapse, ke majboor itne ho gaye

Translation:

Arnav:

You awoke my heart and deceited me
Along with a cheat, you cheated everyone
The veil of innocence removed from the face
I hate you, why did I trust you?

It was necessary to stop the incoming torrent of life
Didn't know that it would have this effect
However I may wish, can't stop the storm in your eyes
I hate you for because of you, I became a beast again

Khushi:

You took me to the skies and dropped me from there
Made me see lovely dreams and pushed me into a haze
Everyone went away, I am left alone
I hate you for you gave me such deep wounds

A thousand questions, but couldn't reply any
Neither with Di nor Jiji could I open up my heart
Why did I heed your honour, why couldn't I tell anyone?
I hate you for I became so helpless
