@Roger, Alia did gain more from the film! That girl is really, really lucky! She gained so much praise for Highway too, eventhough it was Randeep's show all the way and now again, despite the story being centred around Krrish's character, Alia walked away with the accolades! Poor Arjun...he doesn't have enough off-screen charisma to make him click big time...but the lad has talent!😊Maybe Ranbir doesn't feel that insecure about Arjun, who has miles to go before coming anywhere near him, but surely Ranveer must be feeling some heat...they are both YRF boys and now they have both given a 100 Crore hit also! The only thing that will keep Arjun back is that he doesn't have Ranveer's audience friendly personality and a girlfriend who will always keep in news!😉😆
Yup..Alia hit the jackpot😆 To get an Imtiaz Ali film after a disaster like SOTY actually proves how outrageously lucky she is😆 And a film like 2 States which always had a reasonably good chance of doing well, given the premise of the movie and the popularity of the book..That said, one cant deny that she actually silenced a lot of critics with her performance..If she chooses well, she can be super successful IMO..
And you are spot on about Arjun..He comes across as super drowsy off screen..And they keep playing on his damaged childhood, vulnerable broken guy image and am not sure how long its gonna work..On the other hand, Ranveer has a live wire personality which makes him endearing to a lot of ppl..Not to mention, Ranveer had a break through performance in Lootera and Arjun is yet to deliver that one performance which can make ppl to sit up & take notice..He does have the talent though..And he needs to go back to his Ishaqzaade look..He looked hot in that film😳 And please do a film with Parineeti😆
