People calling it regressive,Urmi is a doormat etc etc .It is not really very likable at the moment as there is no eye lock, dupatta scene. Here there is an angry young man but with no heart of gold. This show may have everything going wrong for it.BUT

Isn't this show showing reality.I in my personal life saw many men like Samrat.I know people like his mother. They may be showing harsh realities but i am pretty sure they will show her fight back, they will ,they have to else what is this show will be all about .And no i don't want the MCP to be with her through out her life
The whole point of introducing Tauji is to give her the strength and show her the way to fight back, because she has lost her confidence ,her dignity.Like they say if you stop protesting after a while ur voice does not come out even when u want to

Reality maybe, but how much reality will they show? Showing Urmi's daily torture in the name of reality is lame. Its just plain depressing.
And in real life such people never change. So what hope can a woman like Urmi have? Even someone like Tauji can't change Samrat's beliefs and thought process which has developed over several years. And Tauji's nature seems similar to Samrat's. Why would he want Samrat to change after so many years?

It would have been great if they had shown Samrat changing because of Urmi. And because he feels genuine remorse or regret. But now its too late for that.

Reality about what? an educate girl living like a slave when she knows she could have chosen a better life and had a better choice! What happened to the track when she took the vow of being strong girl and blah blah... She is not in a small village which such a thing can be tolerate! Even in small town those girls trying to fight for their right but what the heck this serial is about!

I agree with your post to a large extent, until Urmi was slapped by her son. I am sorry, even if this does happen in real life, the little boy acting the part should not be made to do this. Also, such a scene is too much. Anything else I could digest.

I think everyone is making a big deal out of the little boy slapping Urmi. He didn't actually slap her, he tapped her cheek. This boy is a very good actor and I'm sure his parents and others on the DAK team explained how this is only acting and it is very bad to do in real life. I mean come on, now a days kids see so much worse going on in their own homes and on television. I think this scene is very realistic, as many men like Samrat get their children to swear at their mothers or do even worse. I think this scene was to show Tauji how bad Samrat is. Tauji needed to see how low Samrat will go, and needed to see that Urmi is innocent. I understand its frustrating that Urmi doesn't leave but most mothers have a hard time leaving their family, who doesn't want to have a whole family and I'm sure Urmi doesn't want to give her son a broken family either. You can't judge, unless you been in the exact same situation. Being a mother is very hard because you have to look out for your child's interest first. I'm sure any woman in Urmi's position would be afraid that a divorce or her leaving would gravely affect her child, especially since he is so young.

I agree that a divorce would give the child a broken family but isn't a broken family better than a wrong environment to raise the child. What about a better future when away from Samrat and his nonsense teachings? That way the boy will grow up to be a real well-behaved man not a second Samrat.

Yes but Samrat is very rich, and since the government in India is pretty corrupt, I'm 100% sure that Samrat could manipulate the situation to work in his favour and he would get full custody of Shaurya. I think Samrat would destroy Urmi's reputation, he is a powerful and evil person. He would definitely be able to manipulate Shaurya to chose him over Urmi. I think if Urmi left it could cause her a lot more problems. I'm sure a man like Samrat would have no problem in getting re-married and getting Shaurya to consider his new wife as his mom.
