Naina had come and joined their group hug and then asked silently a question to Geet.

Geet who had understood Naina's unasked question said softly," Naina, it took me a lot to just survive and I am really not ready to share yet. Maybe someday when my memories won't hurt me I will tell you all about it."

Naina who had heard the pain beneath her voice said softly," I am your friend Geet and I won't force you to do something that gives you so much pain. I just want to ask something?"

Geet:" Yeah, sure."

Naina:" The memories you keep on talking about, were they happy memories?"

Geet:" The happiest of my life."

Naina:" Then please keep them so. Don't let something which once gave you smile put tears on your eyes now. It is not right."

Geet nodded. She wiped away her tears. Pari and Naina wanted to dine out but Geet said she already had her dinner so she did not want to go out. Once Pari and Naina were out Geet did the only thing that has given solace for past few years.

Taking out her diary, Geet wrote:

Dear Armaan,

Today was a strange day you know!! I met my boss MK and guess what? MK is Maan, the same stranger I met. You remember how we became friends? Turns out, Maan was my boss all along. It is strange that even after all this I couldn't stay mad at Maan for long. You know the sincerity in his voice did not let me be angry. We met after office and he explained me his stance. I think he is sincere and truthful. And then everybody deserves a second chance don't they? He hadn't lied exactly. He had just hidden the truth.

You know when I came back I told Naina and Pari about Maan. But strangely I couldn't tell them about my encounter with him during my college days. It seemed too private. I don't even understand why I feel this way. I mean I haven't hidden things from Famous five but after you are gone Armaan I don't share stuffs with them. I didn't even tell Sid and Meera about Maan when the truth is Maan is the reason I started living in the first place. I would have withered away in your memory had he not had that talk with me that day. There's nothing to hide then why don't I tell them? But to me it seems that those moments were only for me, no one will understand the connection I and Maan share and I can never explain that in words.

Armaan, I don't want you to think that I have some special feelings for Maan. I only want to be at peace and not be asked questions because the things with Maan are so unusual I myself am in confusion. But you understand that I love you and only you, don't you Armaan? Obviously you will understand Armaan. You know me and understand me way more than I can understand myself. Armaan, why are you aren't here with me? Remember all those dreams about a life together, having children which we had woven together. How can you leave me all alone with only unfulfilled dreams and some memories? I hate you Armaan. I hate you. But worst thing is that I can't seem to stop loving you even when I hate you. Love you Armaan...

As soon as Geet kept the diary her phone rang. She was happily surprised to see that the call was from Meera.

Geet smiled and picked up the call and could hear Meera ranting from other end:

Meera:" Geet, what is this yaar? You did not call me for soo many days."

Geet:" Let me count the soo many days? I think I called you up yesterday only..."

Sid:" Oh come on Geet, you know our Meer always has this knack of exaggerating things"

Geet: "Sid!! Are we in conference call?"

Sid:" No Geet, I came home in Delhi so I thought to meet Meer. And then we thought to call you up."

Geet:" So you guys are actually together without going for each other's throat?"

Meera:" Geet!!!"

Sid:" Arey Geet, sometimes miracles do happen you know..."

Geet: "wow!! You know Armaan would have been so happy today... He spent so much time trying to make you both be at least civil towards each other."

An uncomfortable silence spread over where three souls were reminded of the person they all had loved differently.

Meera:" You okay Geet?"

Geet:" Hmm."

Sid: "You know Geet, What Armaan hated the most?"

Geet:" Umm, having bread jam for breakfast?"

Sid:" No duffer. He hated your tears the most Geet. Don't cry. Remember him with a smile on your lips."

Meera:" And Geet, I understand how hard it is for you to let go Geet but move on. Please don't stop living."

Geet:"I am trying Meer, I am trying."

Sid:" Ok, so things are getting too emotional so leave all this. Achcha Geet, tell me did you meet any hot guy or not? And am sure there are plenty of hot chicks there in Mumbai? Ouuch Meer, why are you whacking me?"

Meer:" Come on Sid, Can't you be serious for a minute of your life?"

Sid:" You won't like me serious Meer."

Geet:" Guys, I am cutting the call. I have office tomorrow and that Khadoos will be behind me if I am late."

Meera and Sid:" byee Geet!! Good night."

Once keeping the phone Geet decided she wanted to sleep before Naina and Pari comes back. Lying down she closed her eyes trying to fall into a dreamless slumber.

Meer:" What was that Sid?"

Sid: "What?"

Meer:" I don't know but your tone said something. Why do you want to complicate things between us Sid? Aren't you happy that we are friends now?"

Sid looked so serious that Meera almost regretted asking him. Maybe she should not have crossed the line.

Sid held her softly by her shoulders and said very softly looking straight into her eyes," Don't you know Meera what I truly want? I want you Meera."

He softly tucked a stranded lock of Meera's hair behind her ears urging her to look into her eyes and almost whispered," Oh Meer!! I have always loved you. Ever since I had known what love is, I had loved only you. In fact I had loved you long before you and Yash even began dating. Only when I had finally courage to finally tell you about my feelings I came to know that Yash proposed you and that you guys are dating. I swear Meer, I would never have told you about my feelings but Yash and you broke up. I couldn't bear that look in your eyes Meer. The girl who was the strongest believer of love stopped believing in that word. The girl who taught me to love had forgotten to love. I can't bear it. Even today I am saying this knowing very well that you don't love me back. But Meer, you can share your pain with me. I promise to be just your friend. You keep on telling Geet to move on. It is high time someone tells you that you need to move on as well. "

Kissing meera's forehead softly Sid said," Nothing has changed between us Meera, except that now you know. Please don't shut me out. I can at least be your friend Meera."

Sid slowly let go of Meera and said much like the old comical sid," I am going now. But don't you dare think that I will not come back to irritate you. Take care."

Once sid left Meera just sat down on the sofa. It was too much. She knew Sid loved her. But she did not have any idea that Sid loved her from so long. She could not stop her thudding heart. One thing Meera knew was that she won't be getting sleep anytime soon. Even while she went to sleep she couldn't help but admire the way Sid bared his heart and still had the courage to make everything look better by joking around.

Naina had closely observed Geet for all these time. She knew something was amiss and she always wanted to ask Geet about it. Once they were out Naina cleared her throat.

Naina:" Pari, do you mind if I ask you something?"

Pari:" Shoot your higness!!"

Giving her a glare Naina asked tentatively," The thing from Geet's past, is it bad?"

Pari sighed and said softly," I am not sure what to tell in this Naina. Honestly I don't know half of things myself. Geet and I had never been friends in college. In fact Geet had hardly been anything but a zombie in her college days. Whatever I know about Geet was from Yash."

Naina: "Yash?"

Pari:" Yash and I met in college Naina but Yash was a part of Geet's gang back in their school. In fact even Yash and Geet hardly talked in college times. You see, Yash used to date Meera back in school who is one of Geet's closest friend. So after they broke up Yash sort of stopped mingling with them so Meera need not meet him regularly. "

Naina: "No wonder Geet was not so open with you initially! You are the reason Meera faced a heart break. But then maybe she realized you were not at fault. So you have never been insecure?"

Pari:" Insecure related to what?"

Naina:" That you are not the first love of Yash? He might someday feel he loves Meera and goes back to her leaving you with a broken heart."

Pari was thoughtful for a moment. It was hurting even to think Yash can be with someone else but the truth is there had been someone else and nobody really can forget their first love. But the beautiful smiling Yash came back in her mind and she knew the answer," Naina, I always know Yash has a past and he cares a lot for Meera. I have seen the guilt in his eyes for hurting Meera. But he loves me. And that is all that matters to me. I know there will always be a chance of Yash wanting to be back to Meera especially now that Meera and Yash both are in Delhi and I am here at Mumbai. But I trust his love for me. I am ready to take this leap of faith."

Naina:" Wow Pari!!! That is deep you know..."

Pari:" Leave about me. Let's go back to the point where the discussion started."

Naina:" Yes, we were discussing about Geet. So was Geet's past that bad?"

Pari:" I can't define it as good or bad. All I can say is that it was both the best and worst thing to have happened to Geet. That was the exact words Yash used when I had asked me. Today, after knowing and understanding Geet for a month I realize how true he was. You know Naina, I think it is better if Geet tells you."

Naina:" I will wait for her to open up."

Pari:"You seem little down Naina. What's wrong?"

Naina:"It's just I can never take it if I ever find out Dev had been with someone else other than me. Do you think I am being an unreasonable freak?"

Pari smiled. Naina can really be simple for a person who had dealt with much more complexities than Pari could think of.

Pari said softly, "No Naina. Absolutely not. Love makes all of us unreasonable but then it is just okay to be unreasonable sometimes. And I really hope that you never see that day but if you really have to you will be choosing the right thing."

Naina gave a smile and Pari got up saying," Let's head back. We have office tomorrow."

Naina and Pari walked back. Tomorrow was a new day to live again for all of them...
