Imran Khan left disheartened

Actor Imran Khan is disheartened following his ouster from Vikramaditya Motwane's film Bhavesh Joshi. But Imran's loss has turned out to be Sidharth Malhotra's gain. The latter has confirmed that he is now playing the lead in Vikram's film. "I have no idea why Imran decided to not do the film. Yes, I've heard the script of the film and I'm thrilled to be a part of it," says Sidharth.

Replacing actors in films might be a regular affair in the industry but stepping in their rival's shoes does make it uncomfortable for them. Word is that Imran isn't too happy about losing the plum offer to Sidharth, who is barely two films old.

Recently, Imran was heard talking to their mutual friend Karan Johar about the turn of events. "It's a difficult phase for Imran. After the disastrous fate of his recent films, he is also losing out on the films that he had signed. His angst is justified but there is very little Karan or other filmmakers can do to bail him out of this situation," says a source close to Karan.
