Today was a important day in the life of Akdha relationship ... A separation that will make their relationship a lot stronger and I firmly believe that.

First, let me make it clear, going into this track I believed that circumstances were wrong and both Jodha and Jalal made their share of mistakes and I am not favoring either:
- Jalal never directly asked her about the man and waited so long to do so that he was at the point of explosion
- She hid the truth from him and while she was bound by a vachan never tried to defend herself or present her point of view, e.g., trust me once, I can't tell you the truth right now, but it is only for your safety and I do not love anyone else but you.

Hence, I expected that just as Jalal is repenting and apologizing, I had expected Jodha to do the same. I wanted her to say she is sorry she ended up indirectly hurting him and could not tell him the truth because of a promise. And it is not only me saying that, but the Jodha of the antaraatma talk said the same, that she made the first mistake by hiding the truth- so where is that Jodha now is my only question. And I will not hide it, I am slightly disappointed by the fact that this was overlooked in this episode.

That being said, there were many things I liked about today so here is my take 5:

(1) Jodha's letter: I am glad Jodha left the letter behind as it gave Jalal a full view of the inner workings of her heart and the extent of hurt she felt in this situation. I completely agree that she should be hurt and given she is a self-respecting woman, I do not criticize for leaving at all. Here are things I particularly liked:
- Her admitting the kamal ke phool of prem had begun to bloom- an indirect love confession!
- She admitted she was at fault for not winning his trust
- She also said that Jalal was not at fault ... However, she did not cite circumstances for this but said he was not at fault as it was society's custom to demand agnipariksha of the woman which I found interesting
- It highlighted her respect for the wedding vows and how much they mean to her ... And how much he had come to mean to her! She wouldn't be so hurt if he and his words didn't mean so much to her.

But, here are my two questions that made me less happy about the letter than I would have been otherwise; I am not including it here to criticize Jodha but to see maybe I misunderstood something and would love to be convinced otherwise:

- Why in the letter did she not mention what she told her antar aatma: I know I made a mistake by not telling the truth but I was majboor because of the vachan?
- If she does not blame Jalal, then in her self-talk after defending Jalal to the public why does she say that why am I defending the man who did such a bad behavior with me?

That being said ... Paridhi / Jodha nailed the expressions in this scene ... The tears, hurt, stoic walk ... 👏 Today was her day and Jalal's turn to react ...

(2) Jalal's expressions through the first part and how they rapidly changed:
- The first beginning emotion of warmth and eagerness looking for Jodha Begum
- The frantic expression looking for her when he first can see her
- The shock when he sees Kanha gone
- The crushed guilt and hurt as the letter is read ... Going down to his knees
- The wide-eyed expression of shock when he hears the prem word and realizes what he has lost

(3) Jodha defense of Jalal: Loved how Jodha defended Jalal in front of the public ... Explaining his love for his praja and explaining how difficult it was to rule ... It was easy to criticize sitting on the other side. No matter what she says in the letter or not, it shows how strongly she feels for Jalal!

(4) Ruqs trapped in her own plot: Ruqs is beginning to realize that she has fallen in MA's trap ...

The trouble is she knows she has made a mistake and will lose Jalal completely to this ... That will make her more desperate, leading to the precap.

(5) Precap: Let's wait and watch on this one as the editing of the precaps have been highly misleading. Yes, I am surprised that Jalal has not left to look for Jodha yet ... But I am not sure if he was asking Ruqs-Salima whether he should go or not but rather where he should go look ... So let's see ...

The good news is Jalal will go to find Jodha despite her telling him not to in the letter.

So please do share your thoughts on the episode? And, please clarify my questions if you can, my head has been bursting!!!

Divya, I liked the episode for the same reasons you stated.
And I was highly disappointed that Jodha was not sorry for hurting Jalal? She didn't even write that even she was bound by marriage vows and she shouldn't have hid the truth. Nor she mentioned about, she realised how much he was hurt?
And top of it, I wish you find your lost heart? Did he not express his love for her? This was the reasons I was upset with the whole letter. She declared love, but failed to see his love for her? She expected him to see her love for him in her eyes? But could not see his "love" madness for her .
I just hope the tax abandon credit doesn't go to Jodha again.
And I think Jalal is still in mahal because he is confused, scared, as Jodha has written that she will never come back and even if he finds her, he can't get "Jodha".

Thanks Divya.I too liked the episode but I think we will now have to wait at least till Monday or tuesday before Our dear Akdha meets. HMMM

It is very hard to say who is wrong. Let me put it from my perspective.I think both Jalal and Jodha are equally wrong..When you express your anger out, even if the person on the receiving end is wrong the blame goes to the person who shouted. So in the end the person who shouted always ends up asking for forgiveness. This happens all the time. This is from my personal experience.:):)

For me, both love and trust goes hand in hand. Agree Jodha did wrong by hiding it. During the final blow up on Friday after a while she got so shattered that she could not explain it to him. I think what shattered her the most was that she lost her husbands trust. She did not say that she was not wrong. SHe said that she is leaving because she is following her husbands order which is one of the marriage vows that she took.

- Why in the letter did she not mention what she told her antar aatma: I know I made a mistake by not telling the truth but I was majboor because of the vachan?

I feel she didnt mention about it in her letter, it will make him feel guilty. She knows her husband takes no sides even if it is himself as guneghar. Till now jodha does not know what happened between jalal n sujamal. So she does not know that the truth is out. She wants to fulfil her vachan to her brother and at the same time does not want to hurt her husband by making him know the truth that she was meeting her brother. in that letter she only curses herself for her inability to win his trust. If jalal had not known the truth, he wouldnt have bothered about the letter or about its content. Since the truth is out her words regarding the marriage vows and she keeping the vows are hurting him.

Well its just my point of view. I thought so.

- If she does not blame Jalal, then in her self-talk after defending Jalal to the public why does she say that why am I defending the man who did such a bad behavior with me?

It is just the absolute typical women attitude. Its mostly the nature of women, that they always want their loved ones to trust n listen to them. Any woman will get hurt when pointed on her character. that too our ameri mirchi is a proud rajvashi. But it is not the typical anger. Its is just the nakere when one person root gayi and other always manyoify. It is mostly seen in women. Being a woman I will accept it is there. As pet daughters of our fathers, beloved wife of a man and as lovers dont we take advantage of being women and expect them to manyoify us. this is what is happening with jodha too

That being said ... Paridhi / Jodha nailed the expressions in this scene ... The tears, hurt, stoic walk ... 👏 Today was her day and Jalal's turn to react ...

Good Points as usual Divya 👏
Coming to your questions this is what I am thinking. In letter she wrote that by this time you might be knowing the truth and repenting what you said, and from Jodha pov she is feeling guilty because she hide a truth from her husband but she never knew that jalal already saw her with her brother , so she is feeling guilty form her side that she had to hide a truth and lie when he asked where did she go. From her POV this is the first time Jalal seen Jodha with Sujamal and she don't know all the emotional torture he is facing so according to her as soon as Jalal saw that man he said all those words to her.So she is feeling bad that she could not get Jalal trust as she dont know his battle of trust and she is so hurt that he behaved badly with her. Well this is my POV.

Nice take Divya and yes, I loved the points you highlighted in her letter.
Another observation, she remembered the hand holding scene while taking blessings from Salim Chishti, but in reverse, she remembered his accusations, also him leaving with a look over his back after tying the blessed thread at Ajmer Dargah. It looked like she genuinely believes that Shahenshah had turned his back to her, and rather than staying under the same roof with a husband who had stopped loving her and more importantly trusting her, I mean even Sita had to leave despite giving the Agnipariksha, she preferred to go away.

Today was a sob fest.

Really, did she have to write such a 10-commandments-for- the-husband before saying sayo nara? A simple "I love you, but, I don't think we should be together because we don't trust each other" would have been beautiful. The moment should have been a poignant one, making me want to reach for a tissue, not yank my earphone off. Gah, whatever, let's look the bright side,

"Maha"m - Seriously lady you got to know from rhino that it was shampoomal, Jo's bro, but you still had to feign ignorance to Paintuddin? (OK assuming you didn't know it *wink wink*)I would have given my left arm, to see rhino walking by while you were ooh-aah-ing about it to Sharif. And why did you have to tell of Jo's Houdini act to Paintuddin? You know everything.😈

Rhino - I liked you. For 5 minutes. Did you have to ruin it with your imbecilic tirade in the precap? Like seriously? Oh by the way you've a brother, he was having hukkah by the well, and Jo beat daylights out of him, how else, with her bhaashan.

Hamida - Or rather no Hamida, I don't think I would have had the mental strength to go through another shauhar ka farz deluge. So thanks for not being there. I think you should be a little miffed that your always-right beghum didn't seek your blessings before going camping.

Jalaal - Ok just plain pat on the back for superb acting. I loved that visible shudder you gave on hearing Jauhar. And oh, you forgot to wear your joothis while leaving Jo's hojra. Take care of your feet please, last time you hurt them we had to bear the same track for two months. Hum apke virtual riyaaya hain, thhoda to rehem keejiye.

Jodha - Same pat on the back for superb acting. Last three episodes had got me worrying, but you're getting your mojo back. And please, plan your costumes next time you want to go Huckleberry Finn. That mosquito net of an odhni is great for traipsing around zil-e-ilahi inside the mahal, but not for harsh summer, winter, monsoon, you get the picture. Try cotton, actually jute would be great, but, I don't want to make you look like a BPL princess. What logic on committing Jauhar if you had loved somebody else before marriage! See, you've brains, a pretty sharp one, so keep using it.

My questions

What's inside that potli? It looked really small to even carry another pair of clothes. Did she get inspired by her Spartan pati? And what was the material of the potli, it looked great.

What about tulsi ka ped? Who will water it? You should have plucked it off and made it a part of your traveling case.

Maham Anga's make-up - Why did she look like a skinned ripe peach?

Sharif - The guy himself is a question mark. How does he plan to search Jodha? GPS?

He he, you can see that my post drips sarcasm today, couldn't help it. I mean I knew this would happen, thanks to spoilers, for a change it was well directed, acted, and edited, but, I just can't see Akdha apart.

Also I feel Sujamal's exit was hasty and a bit of a surprise, he had started doubting Sharif's objective in having a painting of his sister in his room. And that flute which was supposed to be the assassination weapon, lay right there when he opened Sharif's trunk. Somehow now the story has been pushed to catch-me-if-you-can parody instead of closing these two tracks. What's going on?

I loved the BGM when Moti talks about the letter.

A sneaky doubt has been running in my mind since yesterday, during the kiss Jodha's tears away scene, I was damn sure the close-up of the face they showed was not Paridhi's, the nose was way different, on seeing Moti today, I wonder if it was her.

Fantastic fiver👍🏼

Yes it was a good episode and Paridhi/Jodha really shined with her performance!

Yes, I felt that empathy was lacking in the letter .. The empathy Jodha showed with her antar aatma.

And top of it, I wish you find your lost heart? Did he not express his love for her? This was the reasons I was upset with the whole letter. She declared love, but failed to see his love for her? She expected him to see her love for him in her eyes? But could not see his "love" madness for her .

Agreed- he referred to his heart and how hurt it was multiple times during the Friday confrontation.

I just hope the tax abandon credit doesn't go to Jodha again.

Let's see.

And I think Jalal is still in mahal because he is confused, scared, as Jodha has written that she will never come back and even if he finds her, he can't get "Jodha".

I am just glad he doesn't listen to her and goes after her!

Thanks for posting!

good take, Divya...

And I will not hide it, I am slightly disappointed by the fact that this was overlooked in this episode.

don't be... she will apologize but only when she will be sure , he doesn't doubt her anymore ... else she will prefer staying away from him... coz till now she has taken many insults even when she was not wrong or involved... all those times she was hurt and punished first and then he said sorry... this time role reversal is there... let him get the punishment first then she will say sorry...

- She admitted she was at fault for not winning his trust

it was her hurt, just like he too says too himself that he couldn't win her trust... so finally he show his frustration and anger by putting worst charge on her, the charge which can lead a woman of her dignity (rather any pure woman) to die... and so she showed her hurt by leaving him, something he himself has asked her to do by breaking their relationship...i m not defending Jo...
but i won't blame her either, coz till date she has suffered a lot without any mistake of her own...

- She also said that Jalal was not at fault ... However, she did not cite circumstances for this but said he was not at fault as it was society's custom to demand agnipariksha of the woman which I found interesting

in her view she has given it once already , when she drank poison for him... and still him doubting her or not understanding her love, is questionable... Jo will never confess her love directly till she is sure he too really loves her and it's not just lust for him...

- If she does not blame Jalal, then in her self-talk after defending Jalal to the public why does she say that why am I defending the man who did such a bad behavior with me?

isn't it right? how many times she has to prove herself not to be wrong? Ruku's MC, Jo's preg track, Ben track, and now here too... agreed she hide it from herself, but she never cheated him.. and she didn't know that he knows abt her meeting suja... and previously when she had tried to talk abt Suja, Jalal has stopped her saying not to talk abt Suja , so next time she won't expect him to listen...

- The wide-eyed expression of shock when he hears the prem word and realizes what he has lost

best scene of tonight...

And, please clarify my questions if you can, my head has been bursting!!!

loved the episode... i wanted this...

I wish the letter was worded better. The vachan part was too dubious as we know that jo has defied more than complied thus far in the story...and it has been her strongest point. And the 'find your heart ' part. Didn't she get a word of what he screamed yesterday.
Pari was very cute today, no doubt...her expressions were good but the script esp the letter and moti were a let down.

Whoever wrote the dialog for angry rajat on Friday did his work well. He covered all the points. But today's letter writer ...was he half asleep when he framed it?
