Nice take... you are being very positive..i know coz... after all this a historical and we are well aware of the outcomes... Salim was born atlast 😆
Am unable to answer your questions directly, but, I would say that Ekta CVs have given a 21st century twist to a 16th century tale. This is has been her formula in almost all her shows - her heroine is always right ..no matter what. I have had huge war of words before for all these with my friends.
I support the woman Jodha - a feisty Rajput who stood her ground in the matters that are close to her heart. She always spoke directly to Jalal and without any pretense. This is the quality that Jalal is constantly attracted to her, coz, she doesnt' do "Ghulami" like Ruqqaiyya - who tries to bind him in her love or the other begums who try to attract him. She considers herself to be his equal and thats something that attractted this fierce man Jalal.
If you see all the tracks so far - in almost all of them Jodha's trust worthiness, her pride, her promises, her character has always been questioned. Not only by Jalal who time and again accuses her directly, but, all others also give in to doubts, if this Rajput-Hindu woman is worth the value in the Mughal kingdom. Jalal in his anger, questioned her religion, her God and even her upbringing. Those were harsh indeed.
Think in today's terms... we women go and live in our Husband's house after marriage, only because of the trust, support and love of the husband himself. We dont' expect immediate acceptance and trust from his family members, which comes only over a period of time. But, we do expect the husband to trust you, value you, understand you and your needs... for what you are. We constantly look for validation and respect from the husband. What do you do when that basic trust (that she will not have an affair with another man) is itself broken into pieces. I know, I will get be the first to get out of that house. 😆
Yes, she has done the mistake of hiding it from him. Thats is why, she is an ordinary human being with feelings, not a Saint. But, think about it, even when she directly said Maham was at fault in one of the old tracks, he did not trust her, she told him directly that Benazir was a snake, he chose to flirt with that woman and spited Jodha, he almost killed her thinking that she gave poison to abort Ruqs child. In all those times, she stood her ground and took the insults from all quarters but never left the palace. She chose once to kill herself, but, when she was saved, she never attempted again, she took it in her stride and also gave her promise to Hamida to not attempt this again.
The separation, in my POV was necessary for both of them. She is still unable to accept the fact that she indeed has fallen in love with her husband, inspite of professing indirectly in that letter. Thats why she is made to think, why she was supporting Shahensha to the public when he has hurt her pride and ego. She is going thru those double-mindedness. This separation will bring out the truth for her.
For Jalal, is not at fault, she also clears that for him. He had every right to question her lies, but, he need of have gone to the extent of questioning her chastity and integrity - coz, he knows Rajputs commit Sati if their chastity / self respect is in danger.
As far the Shahensha - remember, its a journey for him from being just Jalal to becoming Akbar. Its a journey for him where, he had to unlearn many things that he wrongly learnt from Khan-Baba and Maham. Its a journey of re-learning love, mutual respect, humblesness, simplicity, etc. This, separation shall provide him the opportunity to control his blind rage and look into things from different aspects / views.
In all these, discussion or arguments, lets just have fun as this is only a show and am enjoying it for some good performances from the actors.
