It seems he is desperately trying to copy the style of Salman and Govinda, a mixture of the two.

Anyone agree?

I think it's the whole David Dhawan film-feel. The comedies of DD will forever and always remind me of Govinda and Salman and plus Varun's character is as their characters were in DD's film. 😊 Plus, I think this film is bolder than what Salman and Govinda did. Varun's got those chocolate boy looks which is what Salman had in DD films. I guess maybe that's the connection.

No I don't get that sense at all. The comedy that is shown so far in MTH is compeletely different than what Govinda and Salman used to do.

I don't know, the ways he's dancing in the Shaaniwaar song reminds me of Govinda and Salman SO much.

whatever hes doing makes me cringe. i still cant get over his "dancing" on comedy nights. looked like he was being attacked by a swarm of bees. and his face just creeps me outt

Its a shame really as I liked him most out of soty trio. He needs to re-evaluate his approach. Aping Salman/Govinda is an epic fail.

Varun probably is trying to be the mass hero like Govinda and Salman. It could work as rest of the new lot is not into comic masala. Mocking Katrina Kaif's Hindi is distasteful.

Also mocking Shakti Kapoor... Not dat he is any nice guy, but considering Shraddha is his childhood buddy, mocking her dad...
