Thanks for this hilarious take Enjoyed reading it so much and you answered some of my doubts real well as always Thank you for pointing out the difference when both where in similar situations What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger and Paro seems to be the sort who when given lemons not only is capable of making lemonade but also use the discarded peels to make a pickle as well
I really wish ST had spent more time on her character etch Rudra's has been written by someone with a PHD on his character while Paro by a junior intern SI has had to rise above and portray Paro as she is meant to be which she has managed to do wonderfully over the last few weeks in her character growth

My POV
I think she is going through a phase of hero worship she has placed him on a pedestal and will do her hardest to seek the forgiveness of her champion Love has not entered the quotient but respect awe and deep admiration for his valour and courage has and also maybe she feels she is not worthy of the love of one such as he and his inebriated breakdown has evoked her innate maternal instincts in her as well which is very much I think the theme of the current MU- to belie the truth' of his fathers bitter declaration all beautiful women don't belong to their Fathers/ parents and hence even her comforting of him over his nightmare was very motherly I think anything else read intense would have freaked me out as he was shouting for his mum and this would have looked so weirdly oedipal and kinky on many levels plus it would not be reflective of her role as an innocent He has not woken the woman in her completely (yet the stirrings are there )so she was right in her responses of confusion and instinctive need to calm him like a mother would a child having a bad dream

I think the makers did want to make a pointed difference in their respective Shaanths His was sexual reflective of his growing awareness of her as a woman separate from the captive criminal witness she was which they culminated with the Laila Showdown where it was clearly spelt out that she evoked in him a man's yearning and desire for the woman and as Vicky(MKM) wrote in one of her posts- on the threshold of love

Now the run I interpret it as a re run of the first time she ran straight to her Higher Power to thank him for Varun and now she is running from her Higher Power towards her hero for what is the million rupee question I think tonight's scene will shed better clarity but sigh the editing the directing and the overall technical quality has visibly been rather lacking in the quality that RR initially had I am attributing it to the divorce and sure this blip will be just that and RR will get back its superior excellence in execution That was one of the main USP of RR

I have a very sneaky suspicion the next needle of suspicion is going to fall on Aman He has caught them thrice in situations where either one are staring at the other The first time at Mehendi when he caught her smiling at Aman in response to Sunehri the second when she stepped out of the car minutes before her so called wedding and she looked at him first with her stricken face and then at Rudra and then Aman's slightly smiling countenance when they were talking about their foster sibling bond So poor Aman will be at the receiving end of his temper tantrum especially when he comes to know his connivance in getting her inside the haveli to nurse his father

Now a poser- Is Paro's desperation for forgiveness going to translate into never ending tracks of MU that contradict the truth of his fathers indoctrinated ideology every step of the way? She has broken free of her paternalistic' brainwashing from childhood How long will his drag?

I would prefer that she makes her amendment only so far as to the act of not trusting him over the truth of Tejawat heals Dilsher for that is her calling proves her innocence and then decides to leave the haveli to live with her mamisa happy that she got the exoneration she so desperately wanted and her honor and dignity restored

I am not unrealistic to demand she go elsewhere and make a life or get an education or a job for Rudra and Paro are the figment of imagination of creatives in a made for TV soap and the story revolves around these 2 fictional characters But I meant as in a respite before the next MU starts Let him realize her worth and what she means come a courting get married and then the Aman MU can happen unless these devious Creatives have a night of passion planned during this phase leading to a bun in the oven and doubts creep over Aman Oh please I really don't even want to imagine such a dreadful scenario

Once again love reading your takes as always

Swathi ... love your takes here ... thanks for posting!!!! Sanaya is used to rising above the script by now ... I have to say, her character growth is more consistent than Rudra's though ... despite the lack of clarity, the lack of solid introspective scenes for Paro and the constant skating over her feelings. Still the growth in her character comes through ... if it was better written, it would take over the show.

Agree with you completely on your POV re Paro's feelings for Rudra ... and I really like your interpretation of the run towards Rudra at the end. šŸ‘ I feel it may play out as Paro feeling her prayers have been answered, and Rudra is there to forgive her ... will see how it plays out today.

Again totally with you on that Paro should prove her innocence and then leave ... despite TRP constraints ... again the same feeling of hero worship prevailing, if required ... that she is not worthy of such a man ... and if they introduce a slight jealousy track with Aman, to jolt Rudra into going after her, that would be icing on the cake. Though I can do without the bun in oven complications ... Rudra is too much of a tinder box to go that route! šŸ˜†

She has come out of her brainwashing, and has truly regretted her mistake in trusting Tejawat ... how she was expected to do anything else, baffles me ... it is time for Rudra to start the journey of emerging from his father's brainwashing, and his even more childish notion that all beautiful women are unfaithful. And for once I would like to see a good journey of a man regretting his actions ... and walking the road to redemption ... though I will admit his road is shorter than the other one we longed for.
And I also want to see Paro feeling the pangs of living a lie for fifteen years of her life ... her sorrow for her parents loss, her regret for her sister, and her fierce determination to go find her ... after she has restored her honor and her innocence in Rudra's eyes.

Its true. Even I find, sometimes, the show annoying and out of logic. The promise of ampleur, grandeur, fresh storyline and the great execution the show gave at the beginning is not kept according to me. It seems like they are caring more to get higher TRPs now.

What I dont understand is how Tejawat left his black diary in his wardrobe just like that. He could take jewels and all but this? I could have understood if the diary was kept in a locker in the house, but it did look like it was kept along with jewels.

Thirdly, Paro running towards Rudra a la DDLJ was ott for me. Hope to get a proper explanation to that tonight.

I had lost interest in the show for a while, it was a phase showing Rudra's attraction towards Paro but knowing Rudra's character and his hatred to beautiful women, the transition was a little too fast for me. My POV 😳

But Paro has been consistent with her character, and she is not a doormat, crying baby. This is one of the plus point of the show.

Tasneem :)

Yes, the show started off really well, and the screenplay was great ... it was like a movie. But the race for trps has made the storyline go all over the place. Actually they have had major issues ... TRPs, the split in the PH, Tarun's leave, Ashish's illness ... I just hope the PH stabilises now and goes back to the drawing board to chalk out the further story. The ending of the Tejawat track was done in too much of a hurry ... and the black book today made no sense at all!!!

I will wait for the continuation of the Paro Rudra scene today before saying anything ... they do complete the scenes the following day, so not jumping the gun yet. Paro's character has shown consistency, but they are skating over her emotions, and going overboard on Rudra's ... the entire screenplay is very lopsided. They need to correct the imbalance.

Read so many posts about Paro running into Rudra's arms as ott. The fall was accidental. The reason for running could be that she felt happy that her prayers got answered when she saw him in the temple. Anyway, picture abhi baki hai.
The cv's wanted to give us a PaRud hug and i'm happy about it.
Oh, i missed to mention, i'm liking Aman a lot these days and today he had more dialogues.

Thanks, Malini ... these days when Rudra scrunches his face, I'm always scared ... is he going to start crying again? 😲 šŸ˜† Hope we've seen the last of the crying Rudra, and will get a more stable angry young man now. I'm looking forward to seeing how Paro handles him ... seems to be a combination of hero worship and maternal instincts as of now ... quite a combination šŸ˜›

I love Aman these days ... he's too cute! I want more Paro-Aman bro-sis scenes, and some Rudra-Aman bromance ... Aman currently seems to be wondering if his boss has lost it! šŸ˜†
