Ranbir Kapoor to Replace Aamir Khan

Recently, there was news that Aamir Khan would be romancing Deepika Padukone on screen. BizAsia can confirm that the two had been approached for Excel Entertainment's next to be directed by Nitya Mehra. However, both turned down the film due to other commitments. News now has it that makers are now keen for Ranbir Kapoor to do the film.
It is thought that Khan had many meetings with Mehra and he was excited about being a part of the project. However, neither could agree on the finances and ultimately this is why Khan decided not to do the project.
If Kapoor does the movie, one wonders who will be cast as his leading lady. An official announcement will confirm the cast in the coming days.

Article says she pulled out as well. Also Director seems new. She worked as an AD in Life of Pi, Lakshya, Don etc according to IMDB.
