OS : The Best Deal of his Life
After reading Juliet's (Perfectionist2 - IF) OS - Ferris wheel, this thought came up and inspired me to write... ... Strange are ways love enters our life and changes our views ...Thanks Juliet !! This one is for you !!
All my earlier OS have been inline with QH show.. So not sure if I have written well. Do key in your valuable comments.. 😊

The shrieking alarm sound woke up Zoya from her dream world... The smile which was on her face slowly started fading away as she nodded her head to shake off her dreams and come back to the real world...By the time she finished preparing breakfast and setting the table, she found her sister rushing towards her...
Humeira : Good Morning Appi...Thanks for keeping my Green Tea ready and she kissed her sister on her cheek and settled down on one of the chairs while Gafoor and Razia joined them in few minutes...
Zoya : Abbu.. I have an interview today !!
Razia : Not again Zoya... Its now 1 year since you completed your studies... You have been only attending the interviews or spending whole day in the library...
Gafoor : Razia... !!
Zoya : Its ok Abbu... Actually I am also frustrated searching for the programmers job... Every company wants experienced ones and the ones offering for freshers give priority for Engineers than we B.Sc graduates... Today's job is different..Though it is in a Software company, it for Personal Secretary position of their MD...
Gafoor : but beta..what about your dream job ??
Zoya : Don't worry abbu...I feel it is better to start off with something ...??!!
Razia : That's right... !! It will somehow be helpful for Humeira's Engineering course which she will take up from next year... and Humeira.. mind you.. you have to score good marks this year ... !!

As Zoya hurried towards the bus stop, she stopped looking at the small accident which happened in front of her...A boy who looked like 13 or 14 yrs old was hit by a black Scorpio car...His both the knees were bleeding and he was scared...
Zoya ran towards the boy... : Are you ok ?? and without waiting for an answer, she looked at the driver of the car ...
Zoya : Look Mr. you have to take him to hospital right now..
Driver : Madam... It was not my mistake.. This boy came running suddenly ...
Zoya : Look.. I don't care whose mistake it is ... Right now he is injured and it is your duty to take him to hospital...
The driver was confused and he looked back hoping if his boss would help him ...The window of the back seat slided down and the person sitting handed over a 1000 Rupees note to the driver...
Boss : Driver.. Give this money to that lady and tell her to take the boy to hospital.. I am running late.. I need to be in office within next 30 minutes...
This attitude no doubt irritated Zoya a lot... She looked at the person sitting in the back seat.. He was a young guy around 26 or 27 Yrs with lot of attitude written all over his face.. His eyebrows were knotted .. the only thing which made her think that he was also irritated...
Zoya : Look Mr... Do you think your money can buy anything ?? This child here is bleeding... It could be his mistake but there should be something called humanity... I understand you could have an important appointment and so do I ... But the problem is it is tough to find any vacant auto at this hour .. So the only option is your car...
The man looked at her for few seconds... He got down from his car ... Driver.. take this boy to hospital and see to that you drop him home safely.. He handed over the money to driver and without looking back, he just walked away...

Zoya was late to the interview but her good luck she was told that the MD was also late and since he wanted to take the interview personally , the interview had started late.. She looked around her at the other people who had also come for the interview... Most of them looked as though they had prior experience and they wanted to join this company since it was one of the leading Indian Software Company - AAK Software and Services.. which maintained MNC culture and status...
As Zoya entered the MD's cabin for her turn of interview.. Both were shocked ...It was Asad who came out of his shock first
Asad : Please sit down...
Zoya : Thank you !! and she handed over her profile...
Zoya Farooqui.. Age 21 Yrs... Bsc in Computer Sciene passed out an year back along with a recent secretarial course...
Asad : Don't you think this is not a suitable job for you ??
Zoya looked at his name plate which was on his desk - ASAD AHMED KHAN, MD
Zoya : Mr. Khan.. I am here so it means I consider myself to be suitable to take it up !!
Asad : ok fine.. pick any object here and start writing about it for 3 minutes... I would like to see your speed and thinking process... And he handed over a pen and white sheet...
He noticed her writing fastly without looking around... and she stopped as soon as he called out STOP after 3 minutes...
I am not sure if I would get a job or not after our morning interaction... But it was good to see that a person with so much authority has a consideration for other people...It was nice of you to help the boy in the street and I now understand the importance of your time... Though your feelings are not seen on your face.. those eyes of yours give out a lot... If I do get a chance to work with you.. I will definitely try to teach you how to smile... !!
As he read what she had written, there was nothing which his expressions gave away...
Asad : I told you to write about an object.. not about me...
Zoya : Mr. Khan...A person who does not know how to express his feelings is as good as an object !!
She saw his eyebrows slowly knotting ... which brought a smile on her face...
Asad : ok.. moving on.. Suppose I assign a project to a team and want it to be completed within a month, How would you convey this and get and it done ?
Zoya : Mr. Khan .. I would tell their Manager that I need the work to be completed in 10 days and he can increase his team size but quality work needs to be delivered...Her answer pleased him...
Asad : What this job means to you ??
Zoya : Honestly I am just trying to support my family financially ... My dream job is to become a good Programmer...
Asad : To support family !! What does your family mean to you ??
A smile spread across her face... : Family means where each one of us have unconditional love for each other and support in all possible ways...
Asad : Do you have such a family ??
He noticed that she was hesitant before answering and took couple of seconds more to answer this question and tried to look away ..
Zoya : YES !!
Asad : I don't think so !!
Zoya : Excuse me Mr. Khan.. Can we drop this here ??
Asad : Of course not... Ms. Farooqui.. you raised the question of Money and Humanity in the morning ...So to prove that Money is what matters everywhere and not humanity or love.. I have a deal for you...
He paused and looked at her face before continuing...
Asad : You can work as my PA for next 6 months... I will pay you 3 lakhs in advance and 3 lakhs at the end of 6 months... but you have to stay away from your family...
Zoya : Excuse me ??
Asad : Yes.. you heard me right... You can stay in my house as my guest.. and not to worry.. my ammi is at home along with lot of servants.. You can come and meet her before you decide and also you can have a discussion with your family...You can however meet your family every alternate weekends ...
Zoya : I am sure my family will not agree to this.. I guess the interview is done.. and she stood up...
Asad : Ms. Farooqui... I will call back tomorrow evening.. You have time till then to discuss and let me know...

Zoya told her family about her project and the deal in a polished way that she was selected as a programmer and she was supposed to work as a project for 6 months and also about her payment but she had to stay in the office guest office for 6 months...
Gafoor : No Zoya... I will not agree to this... !!
Zoya felt very happy hearing this...
Razia : You please shut up... It is not that she is going out of city or country... Business has gone down badly since few years.. and think about 6 lakhs.. We will need it for Humeira's studies ...
Gafoor : Razia.. For the sake of one daughter .. I cannot let other daughter suffer...
Humeira : come on abbu.. Ammi is right... Aapi will have her colleagues with her and she will be working on her dream job right ?? I really want to take up engineering if not Government seat atleast payment seat.. I cannot afford to do a normal degree like Aapi and suffer later...
Hearing this Gafoor also kept quiet ...
Zoya's Thoughts : May be Mr. Khan is right... Money may be bigger than love and affection...
It was now one month since Zoya had taken up the job as Asad's PA... She was doing a good job not only at work but she had also got close to his ammi, Dilshaad Ahmed Khan... The work which Nurse was not able to do since 2 years after his abbu's death, Zoya was able to do it in a month.. She had given the love and affection to Dilshaad and coaxed her to come out of her room and spend time outside as well...
As Asad came out after his short nap on a Sunday evening, a smile spread across his face.. He saw his ammi on her wheel chair in the garden.. Zoya was probably telling her about a funny incident... He wanted the moment to freeze as he walked towards them...
Zoya : Poophi... Mr. Khan is very lucky to have you as his ammi !!
Asad who had now approached them and was standing behind her...
Asad : No doubt about it Ms. Farooqui... Myself and Ammi are lucky to have you with us.. Thanks for all the changes in ammi... She had restricted herself to her room last 2 years... I am very happy today...

As days passed by, Zoya was disturbed to see that whenever she went home she felt that Razia and Humeira did not miss her .. She felt like a stranger in her own house... The only question each time Razia would ask was about the balance money and also if she had got any other bonus or benifts...
On the other hand, Asad had seen the changes not only in Dilshaad but also in himself.. They both would miss Zoya whenever she went home the alternate weekends and it looked like the whole house had lost his charm during those days... Irrespective of her own suffering, Zoya had tried to spread happiness in Khan villa... Asad had let her know one day how his abbu and ammi had met with a horrible accident 2 years back taking away his abbu on the spot.. His ammi's legs were paralyzed ... and he had come back from New York to take over his dad's business...It was a terrible loss for his ammi and he could not afford to loose her.. He had appointed a full time nurse to take care of her...
It was close to the term Zoya was completing her 6 months ... Dilshaad was operated and she was now able to walk around in the house... Zoya was extremely happy since she had finally got a job as a programmer in one of the leading MNC along with a study plan for her MS .. She had to sign a bond of 4 years with the company...
Asad's Office - His Cabin
Zoya : Mr. Khan .. I am so happy ... .I have finally got a job as a programmer and the bonus is that they offer a study plan... My 6 months deal with your company completes today.. So I will leave tomorrow..
Asad : Ms. Farooqui... I will be happy to see your happiness...You remember the deal of 6 months but I guess you have forgotten the deal...and are you not interested to know who won in this ??
Zoya : Mr. Khan... This period of 6 months has been an eye opener for me .. I do understand the importance of time and Money now... Thanks !!
Asad : Ms. Farooqui... That may be your point of view... For me.. you have made me realize what love and affection can do to a person.. You have given back my ammi... I am a little selfish on certain matters... I don't want to loose the person who taught me important lesson in my life and who taught me how to smile... I have a new deal for you... You will have a mother in law who will love you like her own daughter not like your Step Mother... and a husband who will promise to respect your feelings and love you life long... I have also helped your abbu's company with few contracts.. I guess he will be fine financially by this year end... The decision is yours... I will be happy if it is affirmative...
He tried to walk away only to be stopped by her...
There were little drops of tears in her eyes which were waiting to come out...
Asad had a victorious smile on his face when his hands slowly went up to her cheeks to wipe her tears away before taking her to a warm hug...
