It was a great episode tonight and for the first time I saw what I was promised when the show started - the real love hate equation. Don't get me wrong but so far the story execution was such that I could not really feel the passionate hatred the story was supposed to portray between the leads and unless I feel the hatred, unless I'm totally convinced that these two cannot under any circumstances fall in love, I cannot possibly hope to be overwhelmed when the impossible happens. This was mainly due to a lack of clear storytelling portraying the emotions of the two leads.

First, from Paro's side I always felt that the protest against the marriage should have been more vehement. Yeah, she fought in her own quiet way but when today she went to the extent of burning her own hand to avoid having his name inscribed there, her fury and protest was almost too tangible. The scene being so brutal had an impact of its own amd the message was clear- she hates him so much that she'll go to any extent to avoid being with him.

Second, on Rudra's side I always felt that he was not really that negative as I expected him to be because irrespective of what Paro sees and understands, we know that in the end he always ends up helping Paro only and there isn't much negativity in such noble deeds.
Yes he killed her hubby-but only coz he attempted to shoot her.
Yes he has taken her captive-but only to save her life from Tejawat, etc etc...
But today the way he tortured her by writing his name on her hand when she was writhing in pain - albeit he put the mehendi to cool her burnt hand but he could have just put some ointment instead if he wanted to be caring. The fact that he did the very same thing that she freaking burnt her own hands to escape from brought out a very negative image of Rudra and I really loved it!

All in all, RR has today fulfilled all it had promised to show me and I'm very happy to finally feel the true love-hate equation I came to watch the show for!

Gosh it's a long post! And I don't know if I even made any sense!😳

agree
scenes were as per the situation

i think the ability of the actor and the makers is in portraying dark or grey characters white and black is easy

so i thought they did a good job because i hated the mehandi and sindoor act(not the scene) i found it abusive

In this show the best thing is their is a very genuine dislike / hatred and a very well conceived misunderstanding between both the leads .. It's not because of some stupidity or silliness .. Their have been fatalities and lives lost / destroyed ... Someone's career which means everything to him at stake and someone's life destroyed beyond recognition .

Xactly! The scene was so nicely executed, I felt the actual intensity of Paro's pain and an urge to hate Rudra for the first tym!

Very nicely put! I have always loved the story of RR, just had some trouble connecting to it coz of the way it was executed. But this episode, by the actions of the leads, portrayed the intensity of their feelings to the fullest! 😊

Not to mention, the pain and helplessness in Paro's eyes and the paasion and anger in Rudra's was so well enacted, it took the scene to another level completely.
