Such a common word, used occasionally, but today the meaning of that word was brought home to us so forcefully and beautifully by the cvs of this show.
I real life I have had the misfortune of interacting with such troubled and abandoned kids. One example...a child was taken to a mall by his mom..a child of 5 and she simply left him there, saying she is going to use the restroom...and the child waited...just waited...not knowing what to do...He is 14 now, adopted by an awesome family, looks like a perfectly normal happy child and every week he sees his therapist and will probably do so for the rest of his life...and this is just one child...there are so many like them...
Rudra was in fact fortunate that he at least had one parent with him, yes, he was not the best father, but still he had some one even for name's sake in his life. There are so many out there who are just...abandoned!!
The letters bared a child's soul. The fact that he blamed himself for his mother's absence. It was his behavior, his attitude that forced her to walk away. If he was a good child, she wouldn't have done so. The guilt, the self blame so heart breakingly evident. The hope that never dies. The optimism, the wishful thinking of a child. The daily cycle of hope and heart break. The inablitlity to contact her, the helplessness of a child in a grown up's world. The wait...the never ending wait for her return. And he is still waiting for her. A 28 year old grown man of the world is still waiting for his mother to return...and such kids wait till the day they die...
Abandoned..this one words carries so much. The fact that the person was not good enough to be loved, was not worth staying with, a sense of worthlessness, a feeling of hopelessness, guilt, blame, lack of trust in oneself and with the whole world...the list is endless. How do you come to terms with the harsh reality that the people who should have loved you the most in this world dumped you like useless trash and never even looked back. The psyches of such children are shattered forever. Their insides are so dark and scarred that it is impossible for us to fathom, their hearts so wronged that no right in the world registers. They only know how to survive, rarely learn how to live.
Kudos to the cvs what a heart wrenching scene!! Just two pieces of paper and Paro glimpsed the depravity of his soul, the desperation of his heart, the reason for the existence of JALLAD!!
Awesome work cvs..and especially Sanaya for bringing so much pathos to a two minute scene. Her expressions made us more aware of his pain. The missing man was present more than ever. Just proved the point, this team is quite capable of handling the sudden changes in the tide!!
