Beautiful post Eve...I am off today and so I hugged my little girl tight after I saw the scene. Sanaya enacted it so very well. A child's life centers around their mother for most of their lives and specially those tender years...and for them to be abandoned is heart wrenching...unforgiving and cruel. I really don't care that she left Dilsher. Ok, if you have an unhappy marriage...walk out but take your son dammit. How could she leave him behind? No amount of excuses or reasons can justify what Maya did...she cannot be absolved. I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for a mother who abandons a child. Her little smiling/godforsaken scenes with
Thakur actually is cringeworthy. Well, her punishment is right around the corner, when she will realize that her ever so loving thakur is after her son.
On the funnier side...Sumer kidnapped the wrong woman😆

From the beginning I was sure that it would be difficult to forgive thakurain for going away without her son and then never turning back!
Now that we are sure her reason for leaving did not involve any threat to the child's life etc it is unfathomable that such a loving mother as she was could do such a thing!
It doesn't matter that she cried for him every night...it doesn't matter that she went back after a month...it doesn't matter that she missed him every moment...the child will carry the scars of abandonment all his life...feeling unworthy and unable to accept love or love himself!

Paro reading those letters was an amazing scene because the emotion Sanaya brought in her voice was enough to bring to life the pain behind the words of the little boy writing the letters!

It's so true that once a human being is a parent the decisions they make must be very very well thought out and thought out from the child's POV as well as their own!

Ditto to everything...she is the one who damaged him for life. I have no sympathies for her.

Aww...give her another hug from me tomorrow (not today, she will think whats wrong with my mom😆)!! A mother is everything for a child, the reason for its existence, his/her life line, a friend, a care taker, a partner in crime, a guide, a philosopher, a teacher, a confidant, every single vital role is mother!! And when the most important person in a child's life decides to walk away...it is unforgivable in any context!!
And you mirror my sentiments, since the day Mala has been revealed as Rudra's mom, every time I see her my mind yells...how could you?? I cant stand the sight of her!
🤣🤣Sumer Banna is so going to make us proud...I want Rudra to know about this..just want to his reaction...😃

Your post made me wonder - agreed, she should have taken her son. However, the son still loses out right? He loses his father if she takes him with her. It is obvious in Rudra's case that he would have probably been better off had she taken him along, because the father became too bitter and incapable to take care of him.

But I am curious to know under normal circumstances what would be the right course of action?? May be the mother takes him, but he gets to be in touch with his dad regularly?? Not sure if that is practical in all cases.

Unfortunately, when parents split, the child always suffers. But to leave without letting the child know, permanently scars the child. And no matter how much she has craved for him, will never justify the hurt she has caused him!

A mother leaving her child behind can NEVER be justified for me...i just dont care for the reason...
I had seen helpless mothers living with their devil of a husband just for their children...just because they are not capable of earning for their children...or so they think...

And for them...their husband is the only source for their children's brights future...and they are ready to give up their life for their children...they take everything from their husband just for their children's sake...this is what mother is...she can take anything...even everyone'e humiliation but can never abandoned her child...and a woman doing this has no right to be called a mother...they can never understand what a mother is...

Thakurains any weepings, every tear, every justification is NOTHING ...she has no right to be called as mother...

eveline that absent abandoned child from the letters made my eyes welled up so much that the subsequent scene, the frivolity and laughter exchanged between the trio got lost upon me.lovely post and well, again u left me speechless nothing more to add except that the letters and the boy, aching for his mother and becoming scarred forever reminded me that famous Maa song of Taare zamin Pe :

Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa
Yun To Main,Dikhlata Nahin
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata,,Meri Maa

Bheed Mein Yun Na Chodo Mujhe
Ghar Laut Ke Bhi Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Bhej Na Itna Door Mujkko Tu
Yaad Bhi Tujhko Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Kya Itna Bura Hoon Main Maa
Kya Itna Bura Meri Maa.

I thought about that too...u know it actually depends on the age of the child coz at a younger age a child desperately needs a mother...more so than a father. So when it comes to choosing between a mother and a father, a mother wins hands down. That is the case in courts too, mother's always get kind of sympathy and empathy in custodial battles (of course this is subjective). Honestly, when the whole scenario is wrong, can there be a right way?? As u yourself said may be meet the father regularly, but in most cases that's not feasible. I guess you just end up choosing the lesser of the two evils.
And whenever a couple splits or divorces...its always the child that suffers. There is no doubt about it.

What do I say shreya...I am a grown up woman...unfortunately my mother lives thousands of miles away...but every time I hear this song...my heart cries for my mom..even at this age...
