Whatever ann replied regarding this point was CORRECT.!. The question was with respect to MUZ. How come Nur Jahan and others enter here. But, if you are talking of RANK of 12,000 cavalry. It was MUZ.
I know/feel you are talking of something else, regarding Nur Jahan. Please be clear.😊

Very nice point. The fact very gives another shade of REAL Ruqayya Begum's nature, which i have planned NOT to touch. I leave this to be inferred by you. 😊

Regarding Salim loving his mother, less than Ruqayya or others is a hatched story out of blue. How do i answer this. ? . There are evidences which prove very good relations between them.

Internet ALSO says that Salim has NOT mentioned his mother in his autobiography. But, he has mentioned her 10 times.(I counted this.!..) What do i say now.?.
Internet says anything, to degrade status of someone😉, and to upgrade another.😉.

See i have NOT read ANY exclusive power about Padshah Begum. It was a title meant for the first lady of the harem. BTW, It was the Emperor's prerogative whom he gave power, EVEN, irrespective of ANY title.😊

4. In above point, i replied regarding the Padshah Begum, that it was just a title. Regarding MUZ, having power:
a. She could issue ROYAL farmans.
b. She commanded a big cavalry which ONLY 4 people enjoyed that TIME. (Note: Only lady in 4.)

Is this something less..?..😊..
Regarding the second point. No other Begum enjoyed this. Isn't this an evidence of being the favourable queen. Coz this is something which has NO relation with her being MUZ ..!..

Jehangir has mentioned His mother 10 times 😊, what does he say about her any note worthy things ? Does it speak of what he thought of his mother ?

1---I am saying that nur jahan was empress becoz her husband was a drunkard and was not taking active participation in administration.So not confirmed but read in a book that rank of cavalary had increased ofter akbar's death during jahangir's and shahjahan's era.so there may be as his principal wife nur jahan may have more than 12,000 rank of cavalary...2--And i hav read that Mir saman was the incharge of imperial house hold.Was MUZ was incharge of harem???IS there any official document regarding this?????🤔 3--I can't understand that may be it is an artistic depiction or may be real why in all paintings of MUZ and akbar there is no crown on her head as mughal empress nurjahan and mumtaz mahal have weared.its like a crown of Mallika of mughal empire. I hav seen so much of their paintings bt could n't upload here.

Can't give evidence. Too much pre-occupied.

1. For Harem. The names which we read -> Hamida Banu Begum. Followed by Salima Begum and HK/Jodha. This is what we have read in texts. None of us have read about any other name. Also, it was not that a particular lady ran the entire harem. She was supported by many other officials also. Check Ain-e-Akbari.Vol-1, Pg-44.

1. Darogahs
2. Superintendents
3. Writers of Harem
4. Accountant of Cash
5. Accountant of Stores
6. Taha-wil-daars
7. General Treasurers
8. Sub - Taha-wil-daars
9. Eunuchs for guard
10. Other Administrators
11. Cooks
12. Menials , etc.

2. She had Haj Dept. She was involved in public welfare works as well. Also, texts mention her name in promoting education. etc. etc. other affairs..

3. They are just accounts of some contemporary persons, who have given some reference to her. NOT especially dedicated to her. On the main page of this thread, i have written some names. There are more accounts. Search, you will get them.

Jahangir has used such respectful words --> " Hazrat " Mariam Zamani, for his mother, in his memoirs...

Nur Jahan was empress DUE to various reasons NOT only due to Jahangir being a drunkard. BTW, his habit of drinking was reduced considerably.
He was NOT TOO heavy and a CONTINUOUS drinker.

Also, it was NOT that Nur Jahan did all the work.
There is mention that Jahangir worked over 15 hours a day ALSO.😲
He was ALSO a fine king, if not great like his father.
Nur Jahan assumed MAJOR power ONLY around/after 1622, when Jahangir fell seriously ill.

Coming to MUZ, she had this rank of 12, 000. The Emperor also had the SAME Rank.
But, the documentation that a lady got a SPECIAL RANK at par with the Emperor, was for MUZ.
This is something unheard off, till now, for others. (i mean i did NOT read it.)

If you are talking about Nur Jahan and others, and start combining the Jagirs of those ladies that is another issue. (i wrote this in above comment also)
But, a SPECIFIC ROYAL RANK is something DIFFERENT.!!.
Getting a Mansab and a Royal Rank at par with the Emperor is i feel different.

Also, compare ONLY the contemporary periods of that time. That will be better.

For example:
We can not compare Akbar's reign (1605) with Aurangzeb's(1675).
Coz in 1605, they had around 2000 mansabdars, but in 1675 it increased to 12,000 mansabdars.
So, this point can't be compared as the periods / revenues / policies / administrators / circumstances, etc. were different.

I have replied to this in above comment. But, just for info. Mir Saman was NOT the name of a person. It was a officer / a post, incharge of imperial household, including the supply of all the provisions and articles for the use of inmates of the harem or the female apartments.

First, if you see, most of Akbar and MUZ's paintings appear that they were for royal personal use.
So, i don't feel the question should arise.
Second, ATLEAST we can SEE Akbar's paintings with his Hindu Wife easily.
But, NOT with any OTHER wife.

hi history_geek, after so many days of search on net i hav found 2 websites who hold info on royal family members claimed that along with salim aram banu and shakru un nissa are the children of MUZ. bt people at another source claim them as daughter of bibi daulat shad.I am fed up dis. becoz i am not gettin conclusions. I request could u throw light on this and atlest say who are the children born from wedlock of akbar and MUZ if any apart from salim. Is ther any authenticated book frm which i can get more info.
