With reality television increasingly relying on explosive confrontations and dramatic showdowns, Prime Video's Alliance attempts to take a slightly different route. Instead of making arguments the centrepiece, the series builds itself around strategy, shifting loyalties and constant uncertainty. Whether that gamble pays off over the course of the season remains to be seen, but the concept certainly stands apart from the usual reality show formula.
Streaming daily, Alliance drops contestants into a competition where relationships matter just as much as gameplay. Trust can become an advantage one moment and a liability the next, making every decision carry weight.
The System Keeps Everyone On Their Toes
The biggest twist is a central entity called The System, which oversees every move inside the Headquarters. Through a giant screen, it tracks conversations, updates scores, evaluates performances and introduces unexpected twists that can completely change the direction of the game. As a result, contestants rarely get the chance to settle into a comfortable rhythm.
Instead of allowing predictable gameplay, the format is designed to keep participants adapting to changing circumstances throughout the competition.
Familiar Faces Begin As Teammates

The season begins with four teams. Kings features Ravi Kishan, Payal Dhare, Vanshaj Singh and Armaan Khera. Warriors includes Kushal Tandon, Nikhil Chinapa, Daisy Shah and Ruhee Dosani. Hunters consists of Rivva Kishan, Delbar Arya, Sabby Suri and Dolly Javed, while Legends brings together Mini Mathur, Arslan Goni, Zaid Darbar and Niti Taylor.
Only One Winner Despite The Alliances
Although the contestants begin in groups, the format makes it clear that alliances are temporary while the Rs 50 lakh prize is not. Weekly wildcard entries and eliminations are expected to keep reshaping the competition, ensuring that no equation remains fixed for too long.
Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, Alliance also avoids the traditional larger than life hosting style. His conversational approach fits the tone of the show, allowing the gameplay and contestants to remain the primary focus. While many reality shows depend on conflict to hold attention, Alliance is betting that strategy, unpredictability and constantly changing alliances can be just as engaging.
