I had a fantastic book of short stories as a part of my syllabus in Elective English during my graduation. And one of the stories had a profound line that has stayed with me, even though i have long forgotten the story and its author.

"A virtue is no virtue until its tested in fire."

Today, when Tejaawat turned and gave Maala that eerie selfish smile as he stepped out to destroy her world, i was reminded of the above quote. He loves her. True. But he loves himself more than her. Angootha lagwaa lo iss baat pe. It didn't take him more than 10 seconds to decide to finish off his stepson when he had just seen the desperate and warm motherhood in his beloved wife's eyes for Rudra. No conscience pangs. No effort to think of Plan B which would also convince Mohini and not involve killing of that son. And if that was not enough, he even used some psychoemotional chess with Maala and took a promise that no matter what he does, she will always forgive him.

And the worst part was when he was stepping out of the palace to plan Rudra's game - he turned to look at Maala. Without any guilt or second thoughts. Just a triumphant fiendish smile.

All this with the woman he claims to love. The woman he has been married to for 15 years. The woman around whom his life revolves.

As soon as the test of fire came, his virtuous love failed and his survival instinct and his dark side won. And on the other side, look at Rudra. He is staking his own life for Paro whom he has known not even for 15 days and with whom he has no SAID relationship. This is what VIRTUE is.

Tejaawat's love turned out to be just as flawed as he is.

Having said that, a gripping episode carried completely by Senior Actors. The scene between Thakur Sa and Mohini was POWERFUL. It looked like one of those wolf meetings of the dark side. Even Thakur was taken aback by Mohini's cruelty - only to equal himself with her by showing his own brand of cruelty to his own wife.

Not bad at all, creatives. Good job in an emergency state.

BRAVO!

The precap looks very very stormy.

So well said!
I searched for a better way to begin my answer but failed so let me just say...lovely observation and analysis..!
I thought Mohini and Tejawat matched each other evil will to evil will...the wrong sister is married to him!
Poor Mala...feel sorry for her today fr just a second...I know she abandoned her son and that js unforgivable but if she ran away or left hoping for a better life partner then what a disappointment...the guy she trusts blindly is an evil shark who puts on a mask and takes promises that she will never ask him to apologise whatever he does!

Mohini was so smart...she probably thought of the fact that Tejawat can storm in and take Paro once she tells hi where she is so she asks for the one thing that would be hers even if he does that...Rudra's destruction!

And even she recognises without knowing the full story that Rudra will guard Paro with his life and the only way to get her is to eliminate him!

I think he deliberately creates a situation wherein Rudra is required to take action and that's what we see in the precap...so he goes away and after the appropriate number of days probably comes back injured. In the meanwhile Paros track starts...possibly nandini may also be shown after that!

Sounds promising...I am excited!

Missed both Rudra and Paro but episode wasn't half bad!

"A virtue is no virtue until its tested in fire."

Wonderful take on virtue, very apt for Thakurain and Paro, Tejawat and Rudra

Thought of killing somebody is absolutely cruel, very devilish Mohini 😡 and she is doing this infront of her son😡

But I believe in jaisi karani vaisi bharani...

Awesome MKM👏

Thanks Pri and I agree with you. 😳... I am not sure if i will ever be placated with Maala's reason to abandon little Rudra and her husband - the reason has to be really solid for us to sympathize with her. And now, those 15 years seem pointless because Tejaawat is evil even with her.

Mohini may hate Rudra but she knows him like the back of her hand and even she has understood that Rudra and Paro cannot be separated.

I think the episode was pretty fine. Seriously.

You know you are hooked to a love story when you miss the leads so badly. 😆 I was mentally prepared that will not see ashish today but oh did miss sanaya . Hopefully tmrw will get to see lots of her 😃
It was a decent episode and the scene between mochisa and thakur sa was ofcourse the highlight . It was one villian over another ...

The dialogues were good , I am a big fan of mochisa one liners ...

Another good scene ofcourse was when thakursa looks back and asks his wife " you will forgive me ...are you sure " ...profound. Lets see what is mala's reaction when she really comes to know that thakursa planned to kill her son ...

Thank you. I think we will have more clarity on Mohini's motives once her story opens. She hates Rudra and his parents with such venom - there has to be an explanation for that. 😃

A thought that always crossed my mind is Tejawat claims to love his 'Thakurain sa immensely...but what will happen when Mala stands in his way...will that love still prevail for her??...
And cvs gladly answered my question, that 'I love you but not more than myself'...Even after this Mala gives the reason why she deserted her husband and son...I really don't care for it,cos its quite unjustifiable...
Kareena Kapoor had said in Bewafaa,"Ek biwi bewafaa ho sakti hai...lekin ek ma...ek ma kabhi bewafaa nahi ho sakti..." so she can go to hell, whatever reason she gives...cos whatever happens with Mala from now onwards, that's her punishment for deserting her son...whatever the reason be...
And without forgetting...Great post as always👍🏼
