Just out of curiosty-should Kinnari be legally punished as technically she was an asset to the crime by not reporting it ot the authorities if she knew that Ranak raped Mansi?

This is not India ka legal system. This IS BT's legal system. BT has different laws or punishment for different characters for same kind of offence. Their law can change according to story or trp.

In Norway You wouldnt not be punished. According to our legal system here, if for anyreason You are at police station to testify anything against a memberof your Family, You are told be police, that You have right to not answer police question, before You start answering.

Then can make your decision if You want to testify.

I am not sure how the legal system works in India...but I tihnk in the US and Canada yhou would be sentenced as well if you knew if the crime has been done and information was withheld.

If Kinnari assisted, abetted, instigated Raunak in raping Mansi then she would be held liable, but I guess she didn't know about the rape before hand, she was Not the party to it, So she can't be punished alongside Raunak. But she deposed wrongly Under Oath andlied in the court Hence committed Perjury And it was in relation to a Henious crime, so she can be sentenced to 7 yrs as per Law.
