It was so 🥱 where was the story? It was actually senseless just filled with cheap sexual innuendoes, body show and dance. DP looked sensual and RS was ok as the desperate guy but is that all? Where is the acting part in this? The only good thing was Supriya Pathak's performance, grand sets, visual photography and songs. It is so overrated.

There were only two things that were great in the movie..and that was Ranveer's and Supriya's performances..👍🏼..Rest was all blah..
Deepika's performance was overrated..She did way better in Chennai Express than RamLeela IMO..
And I am sure that many people enjoyed it..But I found all the intimate stuff..unbearable and extremely vulgar in some scenes..🤢

Your disappointment regarding any actors performance is your opinion and you're entitled to that.

I personally, loved RL mainly for the chemistry and the confrontation scene between RL. Supriya Pathak was great in it.

I'm not shocked they died, obviously I was expecting them to die. I have read the play and I've watched it live at a theare. I'm fully aware of the stroyline.

Its the way their deaths were executed that is shocking and simply odd. I found the whole scene bizarre, un-emotional and felt detached from the scene and characters as a viewer.

The perfromances were top notch, but the film was senseless.

Ram-Leela isn't a movie to understand.

Except Khamoshi, none of SLB's movies are to meant to be understood.

You can just bathe in the beauty & the opulence & move away.

SLB treats his heroines like a master-artist at work. Almost reverentially. There is always purity within the characters, he seems to view them almost as mothers. I mean the the general feeling his characters evoke, the way the camera moves about them.

Strange yet appealing mix of Mother & Muse.

It is the heroes that he objectifies & showcases in the physical sense, much more than the heroines.

I don't know whether I should feel un-comfortable or glad to see a movie-maker who doesn't take the conventional route to his female leads. 😆

RL is a movie you watch for the chemistry between Veer & DP, the sets & the gorgeousness that is DP & the sexiness that is Veer.
