I don't get Ram-Leela???

What a weird movie. I had huuuge expectations and now I finally watched it last week but I was left disappointed. Why did they die when her mother was fine with it?! Pointless deaths!

Why was this movie critically acclaimed??? Yes DP, Ranveer acted brilliantly. Convinced me in their role. Loved their chemistry. But the actual film was pants! Anyone agree?

Besides HDDCS SLB never made a decent movie he's too overrated

Few of their performances were good but honestly. Deepika's performances was overrated. Definitely not best actress worthy. But that's my opinion. Ranveer was much better than DP!

RL was not my cup of tea. Only good thing was deepika. She acted brilliantly. Her chem with ranveer was also good. As far as ranveer is concern, I liked his acting more in gunday and lootera.

Pupose of Ram Leela was something else, it was to show Sonam that SLB is not just blue...He is all colorful😛

Other than that this film was all about grand sets,costly costumes and over the top setting. Nothing great in it. Ishaqzaade was better adaption of Romeo & Juliet. Coz here you Ram & Leela lip lock and all of a sudden they become intense lovers and want to get married. 😕

yea you are so right. I couldn't help but compare it to Ishaqzaade and that was much better, by a clear mile. Yeah I think DP deserved best actress award for CE more than R-L. CE she nailed it. Ranveer was actually better. I didn't connect with Ram or Leela tbh, I didn't feel sad they died lol

There is a reason why Ranveer loves Lootera more and is hurt for not being nominated for lootera instead. He knows RL made money and gave him a wider audience but he rather be appreciated for lootera.

I wish I would not have clicked on this post. I have not seen Ram Leela , however now I know that Deepu and Ranveer die at the end.

why did they die when the mother was okay with it? they did not know that the mother was okay with it. they were on the balcony thinking that everyones looking for them to kill them. the mother had a change of heart at the last second and when the girl came to call them down to tell em that the mother agreed, they thought it was someone there to kill them and they jumped. and this movie is based on romeo and juliet although the ending of both is a bit different in terms of the way that they die. dont know what you didnt get about the movie lol

I don't blame you. Ram Leela isn't something I could watch on my own at home. I'd shut it off mid way. It's only good for a strict one time watch with a group of people at the theatre. The plot was trite, the execution over the top with senseless violence and needless raunchy scenes added in for superficial effects. Only the performances were sincere. The film was very pedestrian.
