Really kajol is one such actress who won three flimfare awards after her marriage. She give movies like K3, Fanaa, My name is khan after her marriage.

High time some people need to change their views on married actresses. Kareena is one great actress. Like I always say she needs one movie to be back with a bang hopefully singham and BS would do that for her

Ghanchakar was flop because of pathetic script. Shaadi ke side effect seems like great movie so it will be a hit.

But vidya was never a sex symbol or that desirable. I mean she was always known for her great acting skills and for her roles/ But that was never the case for Bebo. She was always famous for being famous. Regardless of her movies, everyone desired her. Even after her stupid movies that she did with Tushar or Fardeen, she was still pursued by directors and it wasnt due to her acting skills. Vidya has the talent while Bebo never had or maybe she never showed her true potential. She only has JWM that she is constantly praised for but that is just one movie. I also think it has more to do with the fact that she is constantly saying she wants to relax and slow down now while before she used to say that her personal life will never interfere with her professional life.

It's not marriage. Aishwarya got married in the middle of making Jodhaa Akbar and went on to make films afterwards.
Kareena's just made some bad choices.

Lots of actresses have delivered successful films AFTER Marriage...Kajol being the best example. Infact, Kajol won Best actress 3 times AFTER being married...and after having children. If anything has jinxed Kareena its her own choices in the films she does.

Look at Vidya, shes doing maybe 2-3 films a year but those movies seem like good choices and shes older than Kareena AND married!


But how many movies has Kajol actually done after her marriage and kids. This is not hollywood where you deliver one movie every couple of years and expect to be still famous. Yes Kajol might be praised every once in a while but she is no where close to where PC, Deepika and all these new comers are. Bollywood has new actresses coming every few weeks so competition is really tough.It is sad but true that in bollywood as an actress once you are married and have kids your career is kinda over.

who would think a Talaash with Aamir is wrong script?

If out n out different Barfi is hit why couldnt breezy romcom

GTPM instead of disaster

If Madhur Bhandarkars Chandni Bar and Fashion are huge

hits and critically acclaimed, wont heroine centric Heroine

sound good?

How does script sense come in? Its more to do with dynamics

of KKK being in the movie that bungled things up. Dont know

bout talaash, Im sure perfectionist Aamir tied all loose ends up

inspite of that it fizzled out, but GTPM, the director was busy

running around trying to get dates fixed for madam producer

saahabs mooh boli behna thru karan, how could he concentrate

on making a good movie? An older looking jaded heroine has

been forced on him opp a chikna hero and he has to make it work?

They look like aunty bhanja and he is supposed to create roaring

romantic chemistry? If the karma and energy is right even that works

like with chikna Shahid and Vidya in Kismat Konnection, but here,

no.

For Heroine, Im sure given freedom to work with his vision, Bhandarkar

would hv created another Fashion. But, no..he was so in awe of

getting KKK and so eager to show up madam Aishwarya, he

concentrated more on KKK than film Heroine. Result disaster.


Anyway, reason Vidya Kaajol are doing well post marriage is

they are doing age appropriate roles...not running round trees

and pouting into camera wearing 20year olds clothes.


Most of the movies being made hv heroines running around trees

trying to seduce heroes. Naturally such roles will go to younger

tribe, Deepika kat PC. They look the parts.

KKKs problem is she is paralyzed by fear of graduating to older

today's generation has *FORGOTTEN* Kajol let's face it...she is enjoying motherhood and her time is done...

after the failure of We are Family, she has gone in the winds too...and now she makes excuses that she doesn't get great scripts. come on if madhuri couldn't do it...how can she?

Only SRIDEVI has emerged as a winner by giving a hit in ENGLISH VINGLISH, but what happened after that...
if actresses want to change the norm, they have to make efforts for it...and yes majority of movies flop than hits..so that is not an issue. Motherhood and family is an excuse in our industry only. wonder how hollywood actresses make it big after 40. (halle berry is a diabetic and a mother and having a family, yet she is one of top stars today...u need the zeal to make it happen.)

I think Kareena made big mistake by rejecting some good movies & opting for trash like GTPM otherwise her situation would have been different. And in the past too heroines like Nutan,Sharmila Tagore & Moushmi Chatterjee etc have done main lead roles(heroine) in movies even after marriage.
Look at Nutan's case(from wiki).Nutan got married in 1959 & continued in movies as heroine.
Nutan continued playing leading roles through the 1960s until the late 1970s and went on win the award on four other occasions for her roles in Sujata (1959), Bandini(1963), Milan (1967) and Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978). Some of her other films of this period include Sone Ki Chidiya (1958), Anari (1959), Chhalia (1960), Tere Ghar Ke Saamne(1963), Saraswatichandra (1968), Anuraag (1972) and Saudagar (1973).
Nutan got married in 1959 to Rajneesh Behl

About Moushmi Chatterji

Moushmi Chatterji is an Indian actress. She is from West Bengal. She is daughter-in-law of the famous singer late Hemant Kumar.

She was introduced to movies in 1967, with the Bengali movie "Balika Badhu". She started to act in movies after her marriage, which was quite unique for females at that time.Moushumi Chatterjee made her film debut in 1972 with the hit film "Anuraag" and immediately secured her place in Bollywood.

She was on the top of her career in the 70's and early 80's, when she used to star opposite heroes as Amitabh Bachchan, Jitendra, Dharmendra etc.In her peak years, she starred opposite leading stars like Vinod Khanna in "Kachche Dhaage" and Amitabh in "Roti,Kapada Aur Makaan", "Benaam" and "Manzil".

She received Filmfare nominations as Best Actress for "Anuraag" (1972) where she played a blind girl, and as Best Supporting Actress for "Roti Kapda Aur Makaan" (1974), where she played a rape survivor.

In the late 80's and 90's, eschewing glamorous parts for good scripts, Chatterjee went on to play the sister-in-law or, lately, maternal roles, playing mother to Akshaye Khanna in "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" (1999).

She also demonstrated her talent for comedy in "Angoor" (1982) and in the television series "Albeli" , in which she played the title character.
She is still acting in movies, but not at the same pace as earlier.

She is now also acting in a movie with her youngest daughter, Megha, in her debut movie. A Bengali movie named "Bhalo Bashar Onek Naam" directed by Tarun Majumdar the same person who directed Chatterji's very first movie, Balika Badhu.

Sharmila Tagore won national award for her role in Mausam which was after marriage.

Sharmila Tagore Biography:

Sharmila was born in a Hindu Bengali family in Hyderabad, India to Gitindranath Tagore. She attended St. John's Diocesan Girls' Higher Secondary School and Loreto Convent Asansol. She is the great-grandniece of noted poet Rabindranath Tagore.

Sharmila began her career as an actress in Satyajit Ray's 1959 Bengali film Apur Sansar .She appeared in a number of Ray films, often co-starring with Soumitra Chatterjee. She established herself as a popular Hindi film actress with Shakti Samanta's Kashmir Ki Kali in 1964. Samanta again cast her in many more hit films, notably An Evening in Paris (1967), the first appearance in a bikini of an Indian actress.

Wearing a bikini put her name in the Indian press as one of Bollywood's ten hottest actresses of all time. Later when Sharmila was the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification, she expressed concerns about the rise of the bikini in Indian films.

Sharmila was seen with Rajesh Khanna for movies such as Aradhana (1969) and Amar Prem (1972), Daag (1973), Maalik (1972) and Safar (1970). She starred in Gulzar's 1975 film, Mausam and won the National Film Award for Best Actress.

Her latest release is a Marathi film Samaantar by Amol Palekar. Her earlier releases were Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya: The Royal Guard, which brought together real life mother and son, Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan.

Personal Life:

Sharmila married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Nawab of Pataudi, in a Nikah ceremony held on 27 December 1969. She converted to Islam changed her name to Begum Ayesha Sultana after she got married

Sharmila has one son and two daughters. Her son is Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan, and the daughters are Saba and Soha. Daughter Soha has recently entered Bollywood too. Sharmila is the grandmother of two children, a girl Sara Ali Khan, and a boy Ibrahim Ali Khan. Her daughter-in-law is noted Bollywood actress, Amrita Singh. However, recently both Saif and Amrita have separated, with Sharmila's grandchildren remaining with their mother, Amrita, in India.
