I don't watch SSLK, therefore, won't be able to add any value with my thoughts as soap to soap dynamics are a bit different.

Great post. And I totally agree with your analysis of the different viewing groups.
I use to be Category 1. I watched the show for the characters and the storyline. The first character I initially got attracted towards was Zoya. I liked that she was loud, opinionated, and was not afraid of standing up for herself. She had her own quirkiness as well. For me she was a new type of character that I had personally never seen in other Hindi TV serials. (Keep in mind that I am actually Taiwanese/Chinese and am not Indian. So my exposure to TV soaps is relatively limited. I only started watching Hindi TV serials 4 years ago.)I liked Zoya and Najma's relationshipI liked Zoya and Dilshaad's relationshipI was interested in finding out what happened between Rashid and DilshaadI liked Zoya and Asad's dynamic relationship...their chemistry during that period of time was the best...funny and irritating fights. Though at times I disliked how angry Asad would sometimes get and the mean things he said. And at times I liked his OCD behavior and understood the pain he held inside of him.I enjoyed the Asad and Dilshaad bond.I think the one thing I truly liked about the storyline was that it was not your typical Sass Bahu stuff. We weren't going to see Dilshaad turn evil on Zoya and have Asad caught in between. The story was really about life, karma, and destiny.Eventually I moved from Category 1 to Category 3. I became admirers of the actors/actresses who played the characters.I enjoyed KSG's acting. He was and will always be the original Asad for me. But things have changed and due to unforseen circumstances he is no longer part of the show. However, Asad's character is still there so I continue to watch the show.I am a fan of Surbhi's acting. I think she's really good for a newcomer. And I have to admit because she is still in the show I am still sticking around to find out if Zoya will find her Abbu. Will her mother receive justice for her death?I had seen Vikrant in other shows and knew he could act. And I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal of Ayaan. And I am keeping my fingers cross all that buzz about him coming back is true. The veteran actors no doubt hold my deepest regards and respect. Alka Ji and Tej sir are just superb. I have enjoyed every scene they have ever been involved in. And with the recent Abbu track going on they are blowing me away.I have learned my own lesson not to get severely attached to characters, actors/actresses, and jodis (reel or real) because it can leave you disappointed or hurt. So I try not to get super attached and roll with the punches. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. There are more important things to do than obsess over these things. We all have different views and opinions. It's best to just agree that we disagree.
