The flashback made me really smile...When two equally charged people meet, explosion is inevitable...Prthvi means earth and mithra means sun...Without sun, earth won't exist...no use in fighting Prthvi..Attraction is potent and you have written it beautifully in a powerfully charged manner...the subtle manner of expressions, shades of light, eyes and eyebrow expression added more richness to the picture you painted...

"Their helplessness lingered in my conscious as an echo and I couldn't tell why it hurt."--- loved this line, can't explain why...but it again connects with me...
""What is with you and these midnight calls? Can't you do your snooping about people during the day?" I can't entirely be sure that you are just avoiding the subject. Or if you truly seem to have a problem talking with me at this time?" --- Love the way these two converse...they have come long way now as friends, their comfort with each other is so heartening! Ok, I was surprised to see Shiv angry and blast Anandi..that was something surprising... edit -- ok now I understood why he blew a fuse when she expressed her desire to help, its out of concern...cool! :-) he feels real!

""Do you know what happens of unrequited love?"

"No, just the opposite. It gains bearing inside you if not let go at the right time. There is so much weight around it that it becomes a block between you and all else." ---- Absolutely true! I could hear Shiv delivering this line with a resigned tone and he couldn't be more right! scripting once again at its best!

"The charm is certainly there, I won't deny it, when they seem so unattainable to each other. Do give me credit when I say it's not lust or just attraction."---- again one of the best dialogues...what is it then??? the charm of unattainability just acts like ghee to the fire...

Anandhi has smartly played and got to listen to Prithvi's story...his growing up years with Shiv was interesting...by the way both these guys have an impressive resume...DU, is a wonderful place to fall in love...I have heard so, Another place is JNU...but.IIT sucks...he he...that I can guarantee...
"I could nearly hear the regret in his tone for taking this route and I smiled like a child granted her prayer, eager and pleased"..you paint Anandhi's happiness in a beautiful manner...

""you are forgetting that for the time she'd been in the university, like every rich parent, her father had let her be the wild child with the illusion of freedom, though he had her in his leash just the same" --- an illusion which parents create...its painful when you realize how stupid you were...

" She had been behind him. Not him. To my knowledge, he had never once acknowledged what they had. I didn't know what kept her going despite his dismissals or rude behavior, but I can imagine it to be the general obsession with tragic, sullen and brooding male leads you women seem to have." --- lol, Shiv is generalizing...am glad to see Anandhi contradicts him..

Oh no! Like Anandhi am stunned to know that Mitra is married...

"but you don't truly ever stop loving anyone. You only start learning to love new things. New people." --- there is a big truth in this line!!

" He was excited as if he'd proved his opinion in the way of my own questioning."--- again you have neatly scripted an emotion which comes naturally in Shiv at such a point in the conversation..

"she has been his agent behind the scenes through someone or the other" --- they say when you are in deeply love with someone, you can never leave and walk away...even for your self-preservation...

"I was only glad they had gone back to their lives being themselves. If not whole, then with the pieces that still made them functional."--- but is that a life?

"It was only bound to happen when they haven't come within inches of each other in years." ---- my god, now you are twisting my heart with this unrequited love story... a couple who can't give into each other due to the external factors...

Everything is fair in love and war...is it so??? I really dunno what Shiv did is right or wrong...Of course, he bought Prthvi back to life...the journey of that past down Shiv's memory lane was written beautifully, he might have toned down the horrors but the essence along with his pain he relieved just to quench Anandi's quest...and may be he did want to let it out of his heart...all this had been there in his mind for long time...
I am not sure what is Mithra's feelings but whatever it is, if she is happily married, then shouldn't she stay away...it won't be easy for Prthvi, indirectly he learns about her through Shiv...As Shiv said its a double edged sword...how long can this game go on?

Am always disturbed when the triangle is hard to decipher, when its no one's blame but fate...its so unfair...

"The rain that had fallen and the mire the earth was. The clouds that had grayed and hung heavy on the horizon with a silent storm buried in its womb. "---- there is something beautiful about this picture you have painted...
But here again, I lost connection of the story...who was the man in the desert tied up? some water project regarding I understood...but the identities of the people, I wasn't able to decipher...

she honestly believed she was in the last days of her life - she had heard that loneliness took lives faster than insanity --- I totally agree with you...
Is the Dadisa's tale original??? how you spin such fables? :-)

Men are just grown-up babies, I wanted to tell him. All it took to put him in place, however temporarily, was a commonplace household accident. - I agree...they truly are...at least some of them are...where as some are too dedicated to the cause they work for and forget everything else...

Anandhi and her story narration nearly killed me with all the pain of " his forbidden love for her"

"a dislike for his curiosity sharpened his tone"--- typical prithvi!

"But, was it because she didn't want to die or was it to be with him? ---- Loved this question, an answer to this which can only be speculated and crafted according to our desires..

""Oh! Common," he said beginning to roll his eyes, "Of course, they live happily ever after." And he added, "didn't they?" after a moment's pause for contemplation. --- I loved the way you presented his curiosity and doubt together, which is rare in a man like him...

"I'm not sure I want to end this story like any other fairy tale." I made a face disliking the banality that was expected of all fairy tales - this however, is an opinion I hold to-date. ---- Life isn't a fairy tale at all...so let it be real than what is expected of a fairy tale ending kind

"I know that you know that I know you have already written this story's denouement,--- is there an editing required here??

The ending of Paheli was cute...Anandhi's desperation was written in a cute as well as natural of her character's way..

"But to see before it could exist...to weave a vision with the fine silken threads of creativity out of the dredge of nothingness, I then realized, was his real gift. "--- wowow brilliant! I don't want to say anything to destroy the beauty this line has created...
Anandhi is getting deeply involved...y do i feel that both prithvi as well as mithra is beyond her grasp of understanding??

"Every word, it was said, was chosen with a purpose; an intended destiny - it directed a course in the reader's mind" "Enough said that the dilemmas of a writer are unrelenting and infinite" ------ Absolutely right!!.
"I was somehow jealous from her statement and it made me angry. I had not experienced their kind of love,
---- Anandhi emotion is natural..makes her human..
". But, you know what you are to him in the smallest response you manage to evoke - a physical movement or a change in the emotion in his eyes. A slight turn of his gaze that follows you as you turn the hallway." ---whoa!! the gestures as well as the statement which explained those were too powerful and if you can visualise the man as prithvi.. bang!

The narration of Kiss my mithra did leave me in Anandi's state..he he...imagining the scene in mind and yes, her similar thoughts...that flow of conversation and Anandi's thoughts were neatly scripted...

"All this impudence didn't give you enough courage to fight for each other. Or let you move on and have a life of your own." --- that was a valid question Anandi asked to Mitra's arrogant stance on their love...but she is not married then??? Why did Shiv lie??

Aha Hasini!!
I rushed through the last written chapters..I will give the detailed comments later..but got to mention few things...

1. So many new words found their way to my vocabulary...the language is too good..I also came to know about Cupid's story, Rashomon effect etc..

2. I really don't understand men..now why did Shiv do that??? Prithvi's story, his haunting sadness, Shiv's unexpected change in character..its all confusing..

3. Anandhi's distress over Prithvi's story...its always happens to women, they get unnecessarily involved and make their lives a mess..
