Chapter 29

Hearing about it khushi's face fell and fear gripped her hard. She immediately clung to her husband for strength and Arnav gripped her harder and pulled her into warmth of his chest. She calmed down and after a good 10 minutes, still in his chest spoke "they want me to attend their grad night, I think its tomorrow, I am not sure. I could not attend it, so never checked the exact date. So I sent them presents and she must have got them that's why she called. I am so happy for them. You know poorav was telling me he has been offered a very well paid job in delhi and he has said yes. I just hope poorvi too finds a good job here, I don't want them to stay away now, even for single day more. I hope I am able to..."

Arnav knew what she was about to say, so he pulled her more close and said "...ssshhh... Don't worry I will get poorvi a job in my company. I know being your sister she would be talented and would certainly be resource for my company. And not only that, just like you, she too is so pure and innocent and I am sure beautiful too, so being her jijaji it is my duty to protect her. So it final she will work with AR only."

Khushi pulled out and asked "if she refuses just like me then?" Arnav replied " don't worry I will make sure that you convience her and I am sure she will listen to her jijaji as there are benefits of it. Like getting more of her jiji...and I am sure tumhare liye wo bhaag kar AR join karegi. Waise she talks too much, she ate my ears anyway I have not told them anything but we will after their grad night. I will handle it and main unhe sambhal loonga. And I was thinking that they can live with us in London and come back with us only. And one more thing, I know you would not like it , but I have made a decision."

Khushi looked curious and he continued " whether you want it or not ,the twins shall live with us. I know you think too much about society but I give a damn about society ,Just like I cannot live without di, you too have waited long so you will not live without them from now. They too have craved for you and since I too need you , so the twins and me will have to coexit together here. And I will give them no choice on this and dare you say anything between us. I will get two rooms more built for their accomdation here. Di would be happy to see one more addition in her chatterbox gang... Nani will be so happy. And you will be happy "

Khushi was thrilled and amused. Arnav expected her to protest. Khushi would have protested but the sincerity and finality in his decision touched her soul. She needs twins and Arnav too,so this was best. She stood on her toes and pulled him for a kiss. No words were required.

The dinner was a jolly affair. Everyone made an early exit as they needed to wake up early as they were leaving for London early morning. At night Khushi snuggled into Arnav and slept peacefully.

Morning 5.30 am

When Arnav woke in the morning he found khushi sleeping more cosily in his chest and he smiled thinking ... how can my shy khushi become so possessive about me. But I love her this side too. Her shyness and boldness together completes her in a complex yet beautiful way. Coming out of his thoughts he saw ,the tendrils of her hair were hovering over her face and disturbing her sleep and he moved a bit so that he could easily put them away, but in the process khushi felt loss of warmth and sleeply murmured "please Arnav, don't move away" and immediately he pulled her closer into his warm body and she sighed and kept sleeping. Arnav watched her sleep and though she looked beautiful but her illness was showing, her glow was a bit yellowish, her eyes had little dark circles and carried tiredness, her throat had got a bit thinner and her already thin body felt a little more frail. Observing this,his heart hurt and he pulled her in closer and said "ma I know you are out there somewhere looking at us, please just cure her and rest all I shall take care. I know you have sent her to complete me, please let her be with me, because without her now even your son will not be able to breathe."

As if smiling from above the two mothers radiated their happiness for their children in form of a bright warm sunlight. Pouring their blessings for their long life ahead.

As soon as the sunlight started to disturb khushi's sleep, she shifted a bit more and completely hid her face in his chest to resume her sleep. Arnav started kissing her face and whispered "morning jaan, wake up" khushi sleepily half opened her eyes and saw his beautiful smile and then said "please don't call me jaan all the time. I am sacred that you may call me that in front of everyone." Arnav was amused at her direction of thought but decided to play angry. He made a scowling face and said "and how the hell is that a problem khushi, I can call my wife that." Khushi too got a bit cheeky and said "Its not like that. Its absolutely ok, whatever you do or call me inside this room, I just love it. But outside what will nani ji , di and everyone think? Please understand and all others wil tease me to no end." Arnav kept his angry faade and distanced her a bit and with fake anger say "everyone except your husband matters. I am last in line of priority. Its fine khushi." He started to get up just waiting for her reaction and soon it came, she smashed herself into him, and said "don't fight me. Call me whatever you want. These fights will distance us." She said with a sadness. Arnav pulled her closer and said "no jaan, how much ever we fight, we will never be distanced. These fights form an essential part of our love, we have always fought but not against each other, but for each other. On contrary I think they have brought us closer and lately I have realised that we should fight a bit more because , the makeup part is even better. You remember when you punished me after I fought with you for saving me in front of that shyam. So lets not stop. By the way I never plan to call you jaan in front of family, so chill , but I promise I will in front of few of my jealous colleagues, competitors and some top models who always try to achieve me for my money and who must now for surely know where my heart resides. So you will have to bear that. Actually I will make you claim your right over me and make you mark me as your territory for them."

Khushi who had been the recipient of Arnav's anger now receives his love and affection along with tender loving care! She comes to know that is diktat encompasses her happiness! His statement that her siblings need not be separated but stay with them gives her the proof of the extent of his love for her. When he says how he would feel if separated from his Di would apply to her too substantiates it all the more!
