W ith the launch of new soaps, the existing ones are plotting twists and generation leaps. Mamta (Zee) is not any different. Apparently the channel and the , producer are on talks to bring in a generation leap to spike viewer interest in the show. Next month will see the story change to accommodate the generation leap. Apparently, they'll be breaking the news to the star cast soon. Those actors who wish to be a part of the leap will stay on ..those not interested may have to quit. Producer Sheel Kumar of Shreya Creations says, "We've only thought of this. We still have to take a final decision." Launched in January 2006, Mamta is aired from Monday to Friday at 7 pm. Initially produced by Shobhana Desai, it was taken over by Shreya Creations after nearly 170 episodes. It toplines Neha Mehta and Anand Suryavanshi. It's the story of Mamta, a sur- rogate mother, who comes to the city to ensure her child's security .

This looks Intresting, hmmm, Kasamh se leaps happening, looks like shows r following the trend,

It be intresting to see the leap but that would mean sweet krish will be grown up 😭 😭 😭

for Andy......I don't think Andy should or would do an old man's role..............

that means..bye bye to 'mamta'.......a big relief😊.........thanks........but defo will miss Andy/Akshay 😭 😭 😭

why can't they end this show instead of going for a gen.leap & all........... 🤢 ...who wants to see??????????????????? 😕

I really do not understand the need for this untimely leap.... 😭 😭 😭 There is nothing great in the story, that they take a leap now..

And with what confidence have they taken this decision? Are they so sure that that their leading stars will accept this and abide to the leap? Will Neha, Andy and Ajay be willing to portray an older role? What will happen to the serial without Krishu??? Has the prod house thougt of all these questions? 😭 😭 😭

Ther is nothing left in this serial if Andy opts out.. 😭 😭 😭 Many here see this only for him.. I dont think this serial can survive after this big setback.. It will be a wise decision if they thin of a proper ending and end this serial.. This leap will surely be a disaster.. 😭 😭

ahahahahaha!!! joke of the century!! a generation leap should only occur when all loose ends in the current storyline are tied up properly. they can't even handle the current script properly, how can they ever manage a generation leap?😆

erghh.. that means most of the original cast won't be staying on?? great, that's what was missing. the icing on the cake. wah shreya productions, wah! what a creative idea to lose even more viewers.😡😡😡

I will tell u what will happen after gen.leap...........

Krish will become another Akku....2 girls for him......triangle love story...........no...no.... may be Arav & Krish will fall for same girl say Namta....first Namta will marry (a fake one😆)Arav...then Arav will die.....Namta will marry Krish......then Arav will come back as Sarav.....then Krish will die.......Namta will happily marry Sarav/Arav again(this time a real one)..........Krish will come back as Prish-the singer....eventually will turn in to Prish-the detective..................then they will take another gen.leap...............and the story continues.........

April fools day is over....
What are they doing the show is not even doing that great, take for example this forum not many people post alot here like the other forums.Since akshays death the show is completley heading in the wrong direction. How come nobody recongnize Akshay he just grew a beard, how stupid can everyone be how can a wife fail to identify her husband who she loves dearly,and a mother father and sister not recognize him that is just riddiculous. Do the writers of this serial think that its audience is stupid, then when akshay finds out the truth it will be to late because sid and mamta will fall in love and mamta would want to say married with sid and it will be akshay fault he not only ruied his and mamta marriage he destroy any hope of masuma and sid future.
