From the buzz that has been going around the Forum discussions, it would seem that JW or rather his hamshakal (possibly Sahil???) has implicated Bani, put her in an asylum and had her kids snatched. It would seem that Tarun would rescue her and possibly the kids and she would come back 5-6 years later and revenge himself on JW-Pia. The only diff being that this time the JW would be real.
It immediately takes you back to the golden days of another serial KTH
Brief Recap of KTH
Sujal (played by the brilliant Rajeeev K) and St. Kashish (played by Aamna Sharif, one of the most worst actresses I have ever seen) are in love but Kash marries his best friend Piyush. Piyush is bumped off and Kash for no particular rhyme or reason blames Sujal for it. She marries him to avenge Piyush, she makes life miserable she destroys his empire, puts him behind bars for forgery and is about to implicate him for murder. Unknown to her, Sujal knows her gameplan but lets her get her way cos her happiness is all that matter to him. She finds out his innocence and breaks down.
An absolutely incandescent phase of TV viewing brilliantly executed by RK and AS (for a change she was good in this sequence) and of course the kreatives. At par with if not better than the golden era of KS.
If KS= KTH 2
Of course we don't know if KS will go the KTH way. But if it does some interesting questions:
- In what form will Bani be back? Openly as an enemy out to destroy him? Or as a friend , rather a wife who will destroy him from inside?
- What will JW's reaction be? If she comes back as his wife, will he fall for her trick? Or will he realise what she is upto?
- And what if he does realise what she is upto? Will he resist her, try to explain his position or will he Sujal like quitely accept his fate and help her on in her mission? Of course this will be a dream contest- between Bani's ability to inflict pain on JW and his capacity to absorb pain without flinching.
- Will JW have an Akshat on his side? If so, who?
- Finally, what happens when Bani finds out the TRUTH? Will she be as genuinely repentant as St. Kash or will she in true Dixit fashion just shrug her shoulders and move on?
- And if she decides to go back to JW what will be her opening lines. Will she quote her Mom, St. Kiran "Koi bhi galtee…." Or quote St. Kash "Kyon banaya aapne mujhe itne bade gunaah ka bhaagidar"
What KTH-II would mean for Munna Campers
Yesterday, a fellow traveller had PM-ed me as to what KTH-II would mean for Munna Campers. Now it depends on what Munna campers expect for and from Munna. If they want to see Munna enjoy life, freak out on his wealth and all the women that his money can buy obviously it means bad news. But if Munna campers expect him to be Raja Ram who will pass his agnipariksha with flying colours (as he has always done in the past) and silence critics who question his Nobility and Morality, KTH-II could just be what the doctor ordered.
Perosnally of course, I have to admit that my idea of a TV HERO will always be coloured by my first love, Sujal Garewal. A man who will utterly destroy himself for no other reason than to bring a smile (however momentarily) to his beloved (or rather the woman he only "claims" to love).
What KTH-II means for Munna
If KTH-II does happen it will of course represent an immense amount of injustice, pain and suffering for Munna. Remember Munna always had a very troubled life (minus his wealth) unlike Sujal who relatively speaking had a much more secure life. And also Munna would be touching 50 with possibly not much to look forward to, while Sujal was still a very young man and St. Kash would have had enuff time to heal his wounds.
My Personal Opinion:
Bring on KTH II and pray that Ram Kapoor and the current crop of Kreatives can revive the spirit of Sujal.
Rgds,
Priyanka
