Is Deepika's Filmfare award well deserved or just hype?

😲 Well, Deepika was going to get the Filmfare award regardless. Ram Leela was a decent film, but was it really award-winning? The movie was just hype. Actually, one could argue that Deepika was better in CE or YJHD. 😉 Is Deepika's Filmfare award well deserved or just hype? Please share your thoughts. 😳

Of course it's well deserved (although I have not seen Lootera and heard Sonakshi was good too).

But honestly, Kareena + Vidya were better than all the nominees: Sonam, Sonakshi, Parineeti, Shraddha, Deepika. But famously Filmfare snubs great performance and nominates leading actors of the year's biggest films.

From the nominees, she deserved it.

Sonakshi, Nimrit Kaur, and Sonam > Deepika.

I won't deny that Deepika had an amazing year in 2013. She did. But other actresses were better in the acting field. Maybe not commercially successful, but definitely successful in exercising their acting skills.

Now I'll patiently wait for someone to call me a jealous Deepika hater. 😆

I haven't seen the film yet so I don't know. But seeing no other actress this year had a hit film with a decent performance..it was obvious DP was going to win as Looter was a flop.

Filmfare has always been about commercial entertainment and success. Deepika was obviously the best match for their criteria of best actress. I was actually surprised that they awarded best actor to Farhan. I personally couldn't even tolerate BMB, it had a good subject which was executed in such a typical bollywood manner.

she won it for ram leela right? her performance was good in ram leela. personally I didn't like ram leela at all but have to say each actor did an amazing job be it the leads or supporting cast. every1 acted really well. I haven't seen lootera so cant say how sonakshi performed... I really liked sonam in ranjhana... so if I was to choose between sonam and deepika i'd say sonam becos I preferred ranjhana over ram leela...but having said that deepika did act well in ram leela.

The Real question is when are we gonna get tired of these none stop Deepz topics, I don't know about others but I'm as hell bored of the Deepz chap now.🥱 despite loving Deepz, so I don't even wanna know how other who dislike her feel about these none stop Deepika threads.

Amongst the other nominees ...yes. but sonakshi gave the best performance of the year. Sonam kapoor was good too but the success of ranjhana < ramleela so lets do the math.

in other news I am so happy that dhanush won
