"Elementary my dear Jyeshta bhrata, Bheem." Arjun finally intelligently unraveled true identity of Hidimba in a riveting denouement, paving way for future crop of Sherlock, Quinn and Poirot. Even Lord Ganesha stopped writing Mahabharat for few moments when Vyaasa narrated this story. Ganesha was dazzled by sheer brilliance of Arjun's reasonings and the ensuing pause gave enough breathing space to Vyaasa to think of next stanzas.
We felt that this historical moment of first detective of the world was cut rather unceremoniously in editing. We approached Ashok, director of StartBharat and secured the unabridged version of this glorious event which is described below.
All Pandavas, Kunti were in the Mayavi jungle with Hidimba in human form. Hidimba tried to dissuade them from entering the trap. Arjun exchanged a meaningful glance with Yudhisthira and then with a slight bow made his shocking revelation.
"I and Bhrata Yudhishthir knew that you are a Rakshasi."
Yudhisthira was taken aback. He had absolutely no clue that she was a demon. It suddenly dawned upon him that all those Arjun's smiles which he reciprocated were not meant to convey a brotherly love but a hidden signal about Hidimba. Little shaken, he quickly assessed the situation. His authority had recently seen a lot of wear and tear as Arjun seemed to be taking all decisions in the family. Now was a chance to restore little respect, however undeserving.
But being embodiment of truth, he could not blatantly admit to know about Hidimba's identity. He instead signaled Arjun to continue with all knowing look on the face .
"Hidimba tried hard to win my trust. She gobbled entire deer to make me laugh. She flew in air and did aerial acrobatics and threw fire from mouth for my entertainment. She even tried to startle me by suddenly transforming into vicious cobra.
Unperturbed, this Dron-Shishya was fastidious in search for signs that she is a rakshasi. And then I saw her in eating competition with Bhrata Bheem and was convinced that she must be a rakshasi as no ordinary woman can compete with him in eating."
Arjuna looked around triumphantly. He noticed Yudhisthira signalling towards himself.
"oh yes.. and Bhrata Yudhisthira also felt the same." Arjuna added and Yudhisthira gave him an affectionate smile.
Bheem was now getting little restless and toying with his mace. Sensing danger, Arjun hurried reluctantly . "and ofcourse Bhrata Bheem also had same doubts about her. He never mentioned them to me. He spent most time with her, singing, dancing. He also rehearsed with Nakul how to propose her and memorized few love poems for recital. But deep down his sharp mind has also sensed the same truth about her identity."
Bheem seemed pleased with this remark and lowered his mace. Arjun was little crestfallen having to share the glory of his acute logical observations.
Today's episode also introduced mysterious Bhagvan Vrikodar. Who is this Vrikodar ? Inspired by Adya - detective we tried to fish around on StarBharat sets and learnt that it is useless to search for this Bhagvan Vrikodar using Google, as possessing of great magical powers, he quickly makes himself scarce as soon as he senses search engine in the vicinity.
But we learn from another reliable source that StarBharat has received extension of extra 100 episodes which will be utilised for this mysterious Bhagvan's track. Taking cue from CID, Lord Krishna's son Pradyumna is to be roped in to unfold this mystery along with his mentor Arjun in StarBharat.
Who is this Vrikodar ? We were given a small hint.. This person is a foodie and lets out maniac laughter at irregular intervals. At later stage, he will degenerate into savouring cold human blood with a straw, right into the heat of a battle. StarBharat promises a shocking climax to this story never heard before.
