Circa 2009, World's leading beauty brand L'Oreal Paris announced Bollywood's Sonam Kapoor as a part of the L'Oral Paris dream team.
Until Sonam's entry Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ruled the roost as the sole representative of the brand from India.
Ash was not too happy to learn that Sonam would be by her side at the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival, according to sources.
She was not willing to share the spotlight and thus Sonam's dream of international glory was crushed for the time being.

Cut to present day, Aishwarya Rai has to share the spotlight not just with Sonam and Slumdog Millionaire' actress Freida Pinto, but the latest entrant Katrina Kaif.
L'Oreal Paris India proudly welcomed its newest brand ambassador Katrina Kaif.
The 'Dhoom:3' star says it's an "incredible privilege to join this league of ladies" and feels honoured.

"It's been a brand that I have always admired for its glamour and powerful message of 'Because you're worth it'. The stunning women that represent the brand across the globe are strong motivators," Katrina said in a statement.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been a part of the brand for 12 years, said: "I would like to extend a warm welcome to Katrina to the L'Oreal Paris family. I am sure she will enjoy representing team India as brand ambassador and I wish her the very best."

It is well known that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif aren't too fond of each other; in fact, their cold war has provided fuel for numerous Indian tabloids.
The two actresses refused to exchange pleasantries even after bumping into each other on the set of Dhoom:3' in Chicago.
Ash had flown in to spend time with hubby Abhishek, who plays a prominent part in the film, along with Kat.
Apparently, it's Salman Khan who is responsible for kicking-off this rivalry, as both women had dated him in the past.

But despite both having moved on in their respective romantic lives, the ex-girlfriends aren't keen on letting bygones be bygones
Last year Katrina Kaif was part of the Bachchan family's Diwali celebration and she attended the do with her current boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
With this new L'Oral link we wonder if things will change for between the two beauties. After all, they will represent India on Global platform.
Why is Katrina representing India?... Is another topic of discussion, as she is just a professional in the country with no other link.
