When he led his army back to Babylon through the Gedrosian desert, he lost a lot of his men due to the harsh terrain, lack of water, etc. I read somewhere that more men died on this journey than in any of his battles.
Uske baad usne shaayad Arabia jaane ka khayaal hi chhod diya. 😆Otherwise I can just imagine what kind of battles could have taken place. 😃
As I said, I doubt he would have survived if he had to battle with the Arabian warriors. To uska 100% victory ka record kharaab hone se pehle woh khud hi khatam ho gaya.

Arab warriors were not as strong as you think...also Alexander had experience of fighting in desert...He won Egypt ...moreover his army was very advanced...he had catapults which won him tyre...he never lost more than 1000 men in battle...except for Afghanistan battle...In hydespass battle he lost only 825 men...
The climate was extremely harsh and Arab warriors were fierce. Their tribal lifestyles were also extremely feudal and they were at war with one another all the time, so they had lots of practice.I thought he never had to fight in Egypt and they let him through without resistance because they thought he had come to free them from the Persians. They even gave him their Pharaoh.
