If he lost only 825 mein at Hydaspes, why do people say that Porus caused a lot of damage to his army and that the battle was very tough?

Porus aur Dasyuraj ne to pehle hi Alexander ki aadhi fauj khatam kar di pichhle attack mein. 😆
As I said, I doubt he would have survived if he had to battle with the Arabian warriors. To uska 100% victory ka record kharaab hone se pehle woh khud hi khatam ho gaya.

Arab warriors were not as strong as you think...also Alexander had experience of fighting in desert...He won Egypt ...moreover his army was very advanced...he had catapults which won him tyre...he never lost more than 1000 men in battle...except for Afghanistan battle...In hydespass battle he lost only 825 men...

Arabia was not like Afghanistan, except for the very tough desert climate. The Arab tribes were always terminally disunited, and their loyalties were limited to their tribe. There was no concept of a desert kingdom that they would fight to defend.
The desert Arabs were also more sophisticated than the wild Afghans, and at least some of them could have been won over. But as the oil element was not there as it is now, he would have gained but little from Arabia, bar the notion of having conquered it.Shyamala Aunty
