Lessons from Alexander's life

What lessons can we learn from Alexander's life?

There are so many things to take away from reading about his life's story, his achievements, his conflicts, his failures, all of which are equally important, as was the special man himself.

I would like to share what I have personally learned:

  1. To be a great leader, you must have an open mind and open heart.

  2. You should never stop dreaming, never limit yourself to boundaries, never say never.

  3. Conquer your inner fears and before venturing out into the world to achieve your goals.

  4. There are no half measures when it comes to loyalty. Either you are or you aren't.

  5. It is important to assess every situation from multiple directions to make the right decision, but when caught unawares think of long-term gains rather than just focusing on short-term ones.

  6. Education and culture have a lasting impact on a person's philosophy and outlook on life; their importance must not be underestimated.

  7. You cannot flourish without hardship - the more battles you fight and struggles you overcome in life, the more experience and confidence you will have when facing even bigger hurdles.

  8. Speed is important in order to stay ahead of the game, but it is important to slow down at the right moments and pace yourself to avoid burnout.

  9. You should channel the fire burning within yourself, but you must also know how and when to wield it.

  10. It is as important to be able to define your criteria for success as it is to accept the cost at which it comes. You can either choose a long life of prosperity or a short life that leads to eternal glory but not both.

These words are entirely my own. Would love to read your thoughts on what, if anything, you have learned!

Phir bhi aap dekhiye Alexander kitna himmat waala tha... Afghanistan mein itni mushkil se jeetne ke baad, woh Arabia jaana chaahta tha baad mein, jahan ke desert warriors aur bhi khatarnaak the aur climate bhi kaafi harsh tha. Wahan se woh shaayad zinda waapas nahin aa paata. 😲

The terrain of Afghanistan was new to him...like the jungles of India...tribes of Afghanistan didn't have any dangerous weapon so he underestimated them...also his chief man clietus was dead and nikamme Ptolemy hephestion elipad Corretius (who died here) Seleucus and Farsi commanders were in charge...so when the entered Afghanistan it was an all out war...even women and kids got involved ... His phalanx failed big time...it was his luck that he won here though he suffered more than Afghanis...Alexander left Afghanistan in just 20-25 days ... It was given to the Persians by him...
