I am extremely worried about Alexander

After how harshly he rebuked his mother, Olympia's behavior for doing kala jadu on Arredius, so to make it easier for him and his conduct that has been so far impeccable and rational to match with what he preaches and what he said to Darius eye to eye during their confrontation before the battle of Issus and what end Bessus met from his hand for making him, Alexander the Great undergo such treacherous and dishonorable treaty. If, today, he, Alexander the Great, no matter how much he considers Porus as his enemy and how desperately he wants his head, after that dumbo peeped in Faras and played around with his time and patience, yet again, if by tomorrow he comes to accept that cheap cheaper cheapest treaty that Chanakya's disclosed in front of him today, just because he's impatient to impress and gift his wife Roxy that trophy, he will fall very lowly in front of my eyes. It isn't because I don't trust Alexander but I precisely don't trust the makers. In an overnight episode, they are very much able to destroy mercilessly a character that we got so endeared and attached to just so they can fulfill their scheme of GOOD (Porus) vs EVIL (Alexander) without any regards toward the logic and the foundation they built previously for that character. I'm highly disappointed at Alexander today for acknowledging in front of Chanakya that indeed, he went through all this periple to reach Bharat just because he wants Porus. Porus and Roxanna came only later on ! His first and foremost dream and aim of conquering Bharat was to fulfill his and his mother's wish, to become Sikander Mahan and expand his empire till the World can know that the sun rises and settles down in Alexander's empire. This was his main goal to conquer Bharat. What is this Porus's head rubbish ? And why is he sooo keen to impress Roxanna like a naive adolescent newly in a relationship ? And when he said Chanakya's way of speaking remind him of his own preceptor, why didn't he just say Aristotle's name explicitly ? Alexander would have never said "I am not interested in your culture plzzz what is this painful nonsense ? The 1st ever architect to bring to life World's largest and most prosperous civilization, in the West would have never uttered such words even in his unconsciousness.

Uff! I agree 2000% percent with what you said.

His main motivation to conquer Bharat has always been Olympias' teaching and the will to outdo Philip's achievements. Winning over Roxanne should have been a secondary thing and definitely not the primary driver for victory. They are trying to reduce his glory as a warrior to a frantic, jealous husband. He's taunting her the same way he did with Barsine, and we know how that ended up! 😡 Maybe he will capture Porus and then bring him to Roxanne, who will tie the raakhi and let him go? 😕

And yes, he would have never directly admitted that he's here for Porus, unless he's doing this to fool Chanakya. If they destroy the foundation of this character it would be a real shame indeed. Perhaps he's seen through Chanakya's plan and decided to take matters into his own hands like he did with Bessus?

Totally agree would never have shown disinterest in a new culture, especially one that he does not know about and where it could help him rule people's hearts not just the land, as has been his aim so far. He would never have said those words to anyone, and definitely not to an aalim like Chanakya who reminds him of his ustaad Aristotle. By the way, he did mention Aristotle: in Urdu it's "Arastu".

Look, girls, this is the coping stone in the Alexander defamation campaign about which I have been crying myself hoarse ever since I first came here on March 28, 2018. They want to degrade and blacken Alexander step by step, and this is probably the penultimate step.

Inlieu, this is not like the Bessus affair, where he never agreed to the tradeoff : Darius' head for peace with Bactria. Here he has explicitly agreed to the kind of exchange for which he executed Bessus. It is what I was worried about, and I wrote about at some length in my last but one post, The Murga Mystery. Only there is no trap, as I had suspected. Ambhiraj is really prepared for the exchange, and Chanakya too, for he is standing by when Ambhraj announces it.

Finally, if there is going to be just this exchange, and no battle between Alexander and Takshashila, why is Alexander putting on his helmet before snarling at Roxanne? It is all very confusing. And then to how many women is he going to gift Porus' head? The count stands already at two - Barsine and Roxanne!

As for the elephant, I take it the makers have not had the good sense to watch either Hrithik's Jalaluddin in Jodhaa Akbar or Rajat's Jalal in Jodha Akbar while making Puru climb that elephant. It was the clumsiest piece of CGI and wire work that I have ever seen.😡

I am not in the mood to write anything tonight, but tomorrow I will post something comprehensive.

@Aunty
What I meant regarding the Bessus affair was that the Bactrians thought they were pushing for things to work in their favor by killing Darius, but Alexander had something else in mind. Alexander might be doing the same thing here in terms of planning something that will stump Taxila too as they are trying to push things to their advantage.

Chanakya's master plan is known only to him at this point. For all you know, he's got something far more strategic in mind that even Taxila isn't aware of. If Alexander's comment about him being reminded of Aristotle has further significance, then our Shah-e-Asia should, in theory, smell a rat. I don't think he was convinced that Chanakya would come all the way in person just to trade up Porus.
Wait, I'm expecting too much from the CVs again. 😡

To kya agle hafte hi battle khatam ho jaaye ga?
Bamni sends his son off to war with no strategy in mind and Puru masterminds the entire thing? Where are the Dasyu people? Aren't they going to back Laachi (and Puru)?

Aunty, at this point I may seem like a hopeless Alexander-phile but as @Inlieu and @Deepika mentioned, I do really hope Alexander's sensed that there's something fishy about this treaty and this whole trade of "handing him over Porus just so easily like that otherwise we won't be able to see the light out of the tunnel for this character. He is doomed. My heart sinks even at the mere thought about the contrary occurring as I reminisce the glorious dessein he had planned in earlier episodes. I am not even in a mood to say anything better either
