I don't believe in first love concept. Not everyone gets married to their first love in India. Very few of them get and even in that only 1% becomes a success. Agree that you cannot expect someone to live up to your expectations & even your partner cannot do that either. If the other person does not value you as much as you do so, what is the use of that love? But it does not imply on mehbeer case. In whichever way they got married, they were husband and wife.
It is also Meher's fault as she didn't spend time with Abeer. I stick to that. No matter whatever is your designation, you would always have/remove time for someone you love the most.
There are people who forget their first love & live in their present. Shahajahan had four wives including Mumtaz. Mumtaz was not his first love but she was most close to Shahajahan. He loved her the most. He built Taj Mahal for her after his death. So she was more than a first love to him.
Marriage is full of compromises. Both of them have to compromise. It is a 'give & take' relationship.
You may still love your first love though you are hurt but love is blind. Life isn't. In the last episode, Akshat left the scene as he realized that Meher does not love him. That's what happens.
Meher was hesitant when Abeer proposed to her & everyone prompted her to accept it. But agreed only when Devki bua told yes.
So she is influenced by Devki.
