Now, before anyone in this forum jumps to conclusions I'd like to clarify the purpose of stating the title.

So far we have seen the Deshmukhs and Ankita's siblings being unhappy with the whole wedding after finding out that Naren is mentally unstable. However, it is upsetting to see how they behave with him. I mean wasn't it Ankita who accepted the deal in the first place?

She isn't the victim yet everyone feels like she is. Rushali had told her that she can leave and she will still fulfill the needs of her family but Ankita refused that and took up the offer.

On Ankita's part it was an impulsive decision. She was upset with Sushank and found that only way out was to marry Naren.

It is clear that she doesn't feel for him, is frightened and would run away given the opportunity. But, in all this I feel for Naren. Yes, he is mentally unstable but that is not his fault. The way Ankita's little brother said that Prashant told him to keep away from him since he was pagal was heart breaking.

I was hoping that this track was more reasonable and definitely more enjoyable but even though Naren's antics make me smile, Ankita's character makes me sad.

I am not saying that Ankita should forget everything and be happy but if she has taken the initiative to do something, then she should do that with all her heart.

I remember the thread someone made of the sacrifices that people have made in real life and you could see from the thread how these people sacrificed but also learned to accept it and move on in life.

Also, I don't get what is the problem with Archu, Sulo and the rest. Naren has been sweet to them and hasn't said a word yet they all look like he will come with a knife after them. I feel Ankita and the D-clan need to truly accept Naren in order for this story to go anywhere.

Unless and until Anki doesn't try to cure him or spend more time, he will not get better and we will be ages away from their romantic relationship.

Sorry to those who don't feel the same. It was just my opinion and I felt the need to say it since I feel that Naren, as a person, is not being treated properly. Its following the stereotype that most people follow towards the handicapped.

I think right now Ankita herself is trying to understand her husband and his eccentric ways. She is new to all this too.

It is quite clear though that she has accepted him as her husband. There was a small scene yesterday when the shopkeeper calls Naren 'crazy' and she turns back and gives him a sharp look and he apologizes. So she has started taking a stand for him already.

The physical intimacy will take some time, cos a.) Ankita loves someone else too so might be uncomfortable initially b.) Naren considers her Ahana which adds to her discomfort.

There is no doubt however that she has a soft corner for Naren already. She does not vent her frustration at him, nor does she blame him for anything. She has accepted this life. She is also very patient with his antics no matter how crazy he gets and tries to handle him gently, like during the wedding when he went berserk. That is a good first step. Slowly as she gels well with him and understands his condition and him better, she could help him get better, I think.

As far as Prashant and his family's anger goes, I think its more of helplessness at not being able to do anything now and feeling sad for their sister, so they unreasonably take out their anger on Naren as of now. Look how Manav, Sulo, Archana etc were more cordial to Naren. This is bcos they are not close to Ankita, but Prashant and his siblings love her a lot and so they are understandably finding it difficult to accept this situation. I guess with time, they will warm up to Naren too.

I feel Ankita has taken the stand to all that she knew abt Naren's condition and still decided to marry him for the betterment of her siblings-lives.

She is handling the best ways she knows..Stands up for him when needed..It takes time to know the person with such condition. Ankita is using time and patience to do the exact.

I liked her idea of taking 6 mo time b4 having physical intimacy. Naren also accepted that..

I am not so sure abt Ankita loving Shashank..She used his family into giving NO answer to Shashank for marriage and accept Rushali's proposal for her to marry Naren.

I think it is unfair to judge Ankita's family so harshly regarding their behaviour at this point of time. I am sure with time they will understand and accept Naren as part of their family.

I missed the wedding episodes because my own sister got married and that happened after a lot of opposition from my family since my brother-in-law is visually impaired. It took months for my sister to convince them for the marriage. Over this period, not once did I think my parents were insensitive towards someone who is handicapped. They were just concerned about my sister and wanted what they thought was best for her. Their reservations were equally right as my sister's decision to choose her partner. Eventually, they realized my brother-in-law's virtues and accepted him in the family. With time, we all will adjust around each other and all the apprehensions that we had will seem futile.

Well, I will not comment on Deshmukh's interference but I understand where Prashant is coming from. Give him time and you will have no reason to complain. And you can't blame little kids, they hardly know what they are saying. Regarding Ankita, it is difficult position for her since she is not in love with Naren but I never thought she looked down upon Naren. She seems to have accepted her situation and is handling it as best as she can.

Eventually, this is a serial and obviously it all depends on how sensitively the writers handle the whole matter. But as of now Prashant is right in his place as he loves and knows his sister not Naren. Just like Rushali loves Naren and not Ankita.

Prashant a responsible loving brother would feel being cheated out of making good on his responsibility to make sister happy. he feels she left him out of her problems - dilemmas. He wanted to be part in helping Ankita.

He is just angry with the situation. I do get where he is coming from.

No brother would want their sister to be married to someone who has emotional-mental issues and keeps calling his sister by some other name. Especially Prashant was so close to Shashank, he would have wanted someone like him to be his sister's partner.

In time Prashant will change his thinking and Naren will win him and Ankita over..I hope so as they are married already...

Lol Ankita is behaving as if Naren is an insect that will bite her. For my sake and Naren's, u married the guy atleast smile and show some bit of care and affection!! And stop crying- afterall is/was YOUR decision. I really hate when the cvs try to make a character mahan and innocent when they are always the one at fault- every other gets the blame. Eehhh. U married the guy to cure him Ankita, u aren't making an effort though to start. Instead he is taking care of u (LMAO). I feel bad for Naren and will always do becoz due to his mental instabiity he is taken advantage of.. Sigh* and he is such a nice guy..

I am liking the way the Ankita naren story is being shown. Naren is in love with Ahana and not Ankita, and is hence acting lovey-dovey. She is aware of it. Ankita is not in love with naren and is a little scared and confused at the moment. Hence she is a little aloof but is protective about him too. She needs some time .
The reaction of Ankita's family is also as expected. After all, they were not aware of Narens condition and are angry and helpless. Even though it is not naren's fault, he is the target of their resentment. When sonu called him pagal, i expected him to burst out but then, his reactions are always unexpected and hence interesting.
Both karan mehra and ankita lokhande are doing a fab job in the acting department. Thankfully, no excessive rona-dhona and Ankita's sadness as shown is natural but she is trying to come to terms with the situation slowly. I am glad the way her situation is being shown now.

I think the fear comes from not being able to predict his behavior, there are times where he is fine but others where she's unsure of how to behave around him. It is going to take Ankita time to understand Naren and to adjust to the situation, once she adjusts she will be able to take care of him.

I do agree about the crying though, it irritates me and I hope the CVs don't dwell too much on that because it was her choice to go through with this. Another thing that irritates me is the CVs overusing the word pagal to describe Naren other than that I like the track.
