Pregnant with Arjun's child. I can not break my sister's home. Runs away to Calcutta. Gives birth to a baby girl. Who needs her own daughter. Let's donate it to the sister. Gets pregnant again. Sees sister and hubby with their own kid. How selfish of my husband and sister. How can they have their own kids. You are not supposed to raise your own kid. They can raise Pari but not their own kid.

Ovi
Committed a sin. She got pregnant with her husband's kid. Such a shame. Decided to abort. But keeps it. Again gives birth but left her in Canada. Sister's wedding is much more fun.

Shravani
How can she stay behind? Donated her kid to her mother-in-law.

All of them are bad mothers. But purvi is definitely the worst one.

Bad wife also goes to her.

Yeah...her marriage life is failed twice just becoz of her supreme understanding level...she is a woman who can donate her baby by birth without permission...she is a emotionally fool mother who can give shelter to gunda without thinking regarding her two babies...one is on hand...nd another who will be coming soon...but she has to prove herself ideal daughter so how can she give justice to mother's nd wife's roll... Ovi 'a character was hypocrite so she was drinking during pregnancy...but purvi was always smart employee still give shelter to gunda...gr8... After loosing baby...ovi comes to know wat is value of child..so she never donate pia ...due to circumtances visited India by keeping her baby with Her best friend nd good nurse...she has not on hand use nd throw doctor husband too for her baby...no like woman's who take a shoulder of use nd throw husband after that donate that baby too...

Its is very important for a new mother to remain with her premie in the hospital.

The premie will grow and get better with the colostrum and breast milk of the mommy. Skin to skin contact between the mother and premie improves the condition of the baby. Bonding is also very very important. The amazing nurses in the NICUs can only do so much but they can't replace the actual mother.

God forbid something goes wrong or a certain procedure needs to be performed... The mother should and would be there.

They certainly aren't portraying mothers in a very good light. Worse, they betray all women with this nonsensical behaviour of theirs.

I don't think there are any good mothers in PR.

However, if I had to pick the worst of the lot, that distinction would undoubtedly go to Archana.

Look at the miserable lives of all of her kids, maybe besides Sachin.

Soham: The less said the better. Poor kid was handed off like a toy. When Archana does get him back in adulthood, she does nothing to educate him and to reassure him that he is an equal member of her family.

Teju: While Teju's life isn't exactly destroyed, Archana and Manav were always nonchalant about her. She is alone at this age.

Ovi: What kind of mother disowns a child and grandchild simply based on the words of another daugher i.e Purvi? What kind of mother happily agrees to get one daughter married to the guy who was disloyal to another daughter? This was unfair to both Ovi and Purvi. Archana shouldn't have supported either one getting married to Arjun after he two-timed them. And while she did support Purvi/Arjun, she did absolutely nothing to make sure Ovi was properly coping with it.

Purvi: Purvi received no discipline whatsoever from Archana. Every mistake she made, she was basically given a slap on the wrist. She grew up to believe that she can never be wrong and that her choices and decision are the word of gospel and should be followed exactly. She is basically the stubborn spoiled child who always wants to get her way. And I blame Archana for never properly reprimanding her.

Sachin: He might be the one who CURRENTLY is doing well. But we don't know what might happen in the future.

So in short, Archana failed her kids, especially her biological ones, and is worthy of the Worst Mother Award far more than any other mother in PR.

Brilliant post ChemistryMajor, and especially the part quoted above.

Archana reached the lowest point as a mother for me when she went to Ovi with the wedding card after Ovi put forward the 'deal' that you give me Arjun, I will accept you. Rather than taking it as a 'deal' and admonishing Ovi/going to her with a wedding card to drive home the point, Archana should have seen through Ovi's desperation and depression at that point. Ovi absolutely hated her mother for understandable reasons, and yet was willing to put that aside and accept her just cos she was not able to get over her childhood love for Arjun. At that point, Archana really really should have been with Ovi, given her a hug just at that moment, talked to her, made her understand and helped her get over Arjun. Even if she intended to get Arjun married to Purvi later, at that point Ovi who was suicidal was the main priority- Arjun kahin bhaga toh nahi ja raha tha, the marriage could have EASILY waited. The CV;s should have used this track to show how Ovi finally gets the mother she never had in her life. Rather than that, they chose to show how Archana is the 'perfect mother' cos she stood by her adopted daughter and a 'perfect woman' cos she stood by true love. My foot!🤢 Ever heard of basic humanity/sensitivity? The wedding card drove Ovi to suicide!! 😭

At least Ovi and Purvi realized their mistakes(I hope so). Ovi is raising Pia and Purvi is raising Pari. Purvi this time did not let Arjun and Ovi have her baby. And Ovi did not give up the kid for adoption even though she is a single mother. Varsha also realized her mistakes after killing her first kid.
But Archana never realized her mistakes. She threw away Soham even after loosing her first kid. She gave Soham to Varsha who refused to give money to save Archana's first kid. She let her husband take away her twin daughters. She got back all her kids after years but what did she do to them. She abandoned Ovi for having a kid with Arjun, Which mother abandons her kid just for a silly reason. She never thinks about Teju. She knew Soham was never given moral values. But she never got the time to give him a proper lesson. She only cursed him. She is a disgusting mother.

Purvi may have raised her child alone but has she done a good job. No she raised a spoilt brat who is opinionated and arrogant. But yes Archana gets first prize.

Wow! This is amazing. Did Purvi not put her hurt aside and went to speak on Onir's behalf to help his license back so that he can continue to help the poor people? Like any "good wife" did she ever ask Onir to take up a high paying job though their finances in Kolkatta were running low? And btw, have you watched the earlier episodes where Purvi fought for the rights of her colleagues even at the risk of her own job?

Aren't we selective with facts just to bash Purvi?

Purvi might be a fool to put her family always ahead of her but to call her worst human being is a joke. There are many other characters in this serial who qualify for that title.
